what spec is the best for leveling quickly with warlock??

well...im no master at warlock but go on demonology and when u hit lvl 70 u go on destruction.

well the first thing he said is up for discussion. demonology is fine fore levelling but in my opinion, affliction is quicker, more interesting and teaches you more about how to play a lock well. once you get key talents like fel concentration and, later, dark pact and iHoT drain tanking large groups makes levelling very easy and lots of fun. totally imba ^^

the second thing the above poster said is flat wrong (if we're talking about raiding). destruction has gear requirements before it is viable and 41/0/18+2 is far better until then.

Affliction is....risky (but fast!)

Dot Dot Dot Dot Dot Dot Dot Dot Dot Howl of Terror kills things really fast.

affliction until you hit 50, then go felguard

affliction until 70 if you find you like affliction

affliction till 58, then demonology, by this level the fel guard will actually be worth the drop in dps. by lvl 50 you'll find that just a single DoT spell does as much damage as the fel guard does.  but with added effects and spells the FG can stun your target and cleave and be much more effective.  at 50 he doesn't have very good aggro either.

I am about to hit 70 in a bar and a half... up till now I have been mainly demonology (was affliction for a while, and dest), using my felguard to tank for me. It's worked well - if you can keep him holding aggro. If he loses aggro, you are SOL because HoT, Fear, and anything else that would help you has too long of a casting time. The DoTs don't hit for much, and the best way to take down a mob is to send the felguard in, let him pull as much aggro as possible, DoT carefully so that you don't pull aggro, and sit back and heal your demon. It's slow, but sort of effective. When I hit 70, I am respec'ing to Affliction though.

Good and bad points to all specs - quick leveling though can be done through them all I think, just depends on how you want to do it. I haven't had any problems leveling with any spec, but when you find your niche, go with it. If you play a 'lock, get good at it however you can. A good 'lock player can kick butt using any spec, in my opinion.
