Divine Strenght - This talent is a must, as it increses every point of strenght.

PROT-
Redoubt- Huh? redoubt for ret? Tell me there arent countless times you are asked to off tank as ret. Alaways good to have a nice 1 hander and sheild on you to further add usefulness to a raid.

Blessing Of Kings- This is a self help tool. Depending on the conditions, Kings can be better then Might. It is also another reason for a raid to take you over another dps class.

RET-
Improved Ret Aura- ???... But doesnt ret spec use sancity aura? Yes. But ret aura is alaways, alaways a nice tool, throw on some prot gear and aoe grind mobs for dailys or when asked to Off Tank. It can also be more usful for the tank in some raid cases (huge pulls of weak mobs) and afterall, the tank is the most important member of the raid.

Repentace - Isnt repentance a pvp talent? Yes, but also a very handy raid talaent as well. As ret, you know what i mean when i say WE PULL AGRO OFF THE TANK. What do you do if you pull agro and hammer of justice is on cd? Use repentace so tank can gain agro again, and you can safly run. Plate repair bills are NOT fun.

Everything else is pretty much obvious in terms of why its picked/maxed.

In my oppion also, ive heard alot of people say the order of stats needed wrong. I belive this is the list, 1st being most important.

1. Strenght
2. Attack Power
3. Agility
4. Stamana
5. Intellect
6. Spell Damage (bearly used at all)

that is your build with a few changes.

1st: Imp might and Kings is wasted points.  I took the 5 points from might and put them in Benedictin for the cheaper mana cost on judgements.

2nd: (debatable)
redoubt... I know you will probably never use imp dev aura... ut I feel it is a good one to have for versatility.  Then again the argument could be made for redoubt for those off-tanks spots...
Still I think imp dev is the way to go.

All-in-all..  yours is a pretty good build.

These changes are relatively minor. (Although I belive that the mana saved from the benediction is worth it.. it also depends on if you go OOM ever or not)

Yes, i will agree with you on the bendiction part. That was my exact build previous to my current one (except switch devo and redoubt). But i have found, that USUALLY in most raids, there is at least one other pally, and they will usually be willing to judge wisdom on the boss's for all of the mana user's sake. With this i have made a tough descison, and i decided to go with the boos in dps, +200 atack power is a mighty nice tool.

Also, with the idea of devo aura VS rebdoubt, i think its more of personal prefference to be exact. If you are asked to offtank, you still need to keep agro, and improved ret aura will help you with just that, but on the other side, improved devo aura will give you a huge armor boost you probally dont have since your ret spec anyway. I guess that this part all comes down to keeping agro vs added defence, and both are a great choice, just depends on personal oppion i guess.

Pretty much any epic 2 hander, and if your a human, try to make it a mace or sword (humans got plus 5 wep skill for 2 handed swords and maces)

Rets should NOT stay out of the Prot Tree entirely... the Prot tree has PRECISION!  MUST for a Ret Pally in my opinion.  Skip some of the silly ret skills like PoJ and put 8 pts in prot to max your precision.  This also allows the ret pally to take redoubt for off-tanking with a shield, which i agree is a big bonus.

This is soo true, end game 5/0/56 ret paly, do not get eye for an aye, and instead get reduced crits. eye for an eye is only against casters. Pursuit of Justice, really great i love it. always good for chasing down your foe to within hammer range, to finish the job. Theres really a few good ways to setup your gems too...you want str, you want attack power, and you most definantely want stamina, to be a well rounded player...for kara runs, pvp, heroics, etc. Cause face it until you learn to control your agro, and find the perfect tank...your burst damage will pull agro very easily. 

If you plan on tanking or off-tanking at times with a ret paly, I'd suggest skipping the devotion aura, and just buying some felsteel armor, and save some defense based quest items. Tanks with over 500 defense, and 16k armor do not need the extra 1,000 armor. It doesnt add up at all enough to put 5 talents in it.
