I am not new the the game, but new to shamans. Just got mine to lvl 40. What next?

I started out elemental, it's great. but, i have read about the enchantment and DW'ing. Wondering what is a good talent spread for a lvl 40 and should i go DW or stay 1-hand. -pulls hair out- lol

I myslef go enhancement. If you stay elemental you can be just like any other caster. If you go enhance you can be one of the strongest melee fighters. As enhance you should duel wield an axe in both hands, or a mace in both hands, or a combination. By now you should have windfury and if you put that on both weapons you can do assive damage every couple of seconds. At lv 40 you can get stormstrike which would *not* interrupt your regular attking  so it just adds to your attk. Stormstrike does instant strikes with both weapons and you spin ^^. The you get a +20% on your next nature attk which would mean right after that do a earth shock. Enhance if you light killing very fast. Elemental if you like running around casting and burning your mana.
