Does the dmg increase from shadowstep add to the overall effect of garrote?

Why would you shadowstep/cheap shot?

I'm not trying to be a jackass, i'm just curious.

depends on what your fighting..

Warrior:

premed
shadowstep
garrote
shiv
rupture
vanish

normally you can do this before the warrior has a chance to figure out whats going on because your behind him...stay invisible and allow the dots to take the hitpoints down to 2/3.  New 70s will go down to 1/2 their hitpoints on this combo because dots ignore armor (depends on your AP as well).

now go in for the kill...

Sprint
Distract
cheapshot
backstab
kidneyshot
backstab
evasion
hemo
hemo

99% of warriors are now dead.  Easy.

For cloth and other rogues...

Premed
shadowstep
cheapshot
backstab
kidneyshot
backstab
blind
restealth, you don't have to vanish here, blind gives you enough time to reseath, then...

distract
cheapshot
backstab
rupture (especially if your fighting a rogue)
vanish...and finally, if their still not dead..

cheapshot
backstab
eviserate
evasion
hemo
hemo

99.9%of players are now dead

gl playing your rogue!

Yes, the damage of your garrote increases with Shadowstep. Shadowstepping and cheap shotting is not the best idea, but whatever ability you use next, it will still get the bonus.

you would cheapshot after shadowstep because shadowstep is a good tool to catch up to the target and start off a fight, and for sub sword's, which is a decent spec for pvp.
