The large frozen lake on Northred is Lake Wintergrasp. Dedicated solely to world PVP, exciting new additions are added. Destructible buildings, air combat and siege weaponry. Although it is not instanced, it will resemble a battleground. However, the sides may not always be even and the combat may often be unfair. There will be rewards for completing objectives as well as a new currency similar to Sprit Shards for buying unique items. Lake Wintergrasp is intended to be an epic PVP zone with nonstop action. Hopefulyl this will revive world PVP once again.

The giant mysterious purple bubble previously found in the Alterac Mountains, also known as Dalaran, is being relocated to float above the continent of Northrend and will be a neutral capital city similar to Shattrath City in Outland.
