I am still doing this quest!!  I killed about 40 so far, and no heart!  Got a few good items from lockboxes that dropped, and alot of leather!  Saw alot of mithril ore also.  So, if you are a miner or skinner this can be good. If not, it will be pretty tedious!!  Good luck and happy hunting!! (btw, didn't kill any elites)
