Ok fellow hunter, it is totally possible to solo tame the red core hound in Molten Core.  I did it as lvl 80, only had one other person in the raid group, but they did not go with me.  I first sent my pet in to aggro the elemental in the back fo the first 2 pats, ran in to the ledge where I would not aggro and Feigned Death.  Rezed my pet and ran to the next spot around the corner.  I did the same thing, then waited for the core hound to pat.  There is an elemental that runs up and down the ledge, so time it to avoid this one.  I then just simply went up to the core hound with max taming range and tamed the core hound.  Previus attempts with Stam failed at 11k, once I was at 18k, it was not a prob.  This also works well at lvl 80 if you dont want to get rid of your existing pet since you can stable it while in Molten Core, otherwise you will lose it.  Once tamed, simply hearth and you are done!  Good luck! much easier that trying to get a raid grp together when no one else seems to come already attuned. :) Happy Hunting
