This spell is pretty handy, saved my life a few times, but does anyone know if this spell has a certain range to come back to you? like in WSG battleground, can it travel the whole distance?

Alot of attacks like this (heal after dmg is caused) are popping up....maybe signaling that healers will have to start focusing on tanks more than ever in high end dungeons....or just to save mana and make soloing easier...either way i like this

this spell is like a Death Coil with delay.
you send it in, it does damage and 12 seconds later it returns healing you for the damage IT idid (not the damage of all DoTs.
and the 20% extra damage is just like a double Curse of the Elements (very good but not purely overpowered since it only lasts 12 sec instead of 5 min) and because of this I wonder 1 thing: what if you use this AND Curse of the Elements on a raid boss? would you get 30% more damage or would you just ge the 20% from the Haunt?

Fweeeee! Warlocks are cool! This talent is really nice, I do not play a 'Lock but have had it used on me before and have seen it used on others while in a group.

Nah, the only class I want to kill is Noobs. I have NO CLUE WHAT that IDIOT WARRIOR in our Scolo group was thinking, they pulled 15 elites (NOT exxaguarting), died, and I had a heck of a time getting aggro on Kael (my pet and our main tank), the healer died because he forgot to put his bubble on his actionbars, the other hunter had to Feign Death while 5 more ones (that our healer aggroed as he ran) killed his pet, then he ran up the stairs and feigned death while me and Kael fought all of them. Being high-level and in okay gear (blues, mostly) we were able to fend them off, but the stoopid healer and warrior had to walk back.

The warlock in our group, however, did exactly as told, made sure to NOT target stuff the tank hadn't attacked yet-unlike the warrior-used Soulshatter when appropriate, and made sense.

Fweeee. Warlocks rock. IDK why I'm not one.

My lock has this but too low lvl in WotLK to pvp.  I'm pretty sure a paly can remove this but that's why any decent afflic lock uses UA in pvp to protect all those DoTs.

You can remove the plus 20% dot dmg buff from yourself but the warlock gets healed no matter what you do to him it her he/she.

You dispell the DoT dmg Buff and it flys back to them healing them. Still a good idea too do as it reduces the dmg done by the dots but really it's kinda useless it's gonna be up in 8 seconds anyway and if the warlock isn't puttting up UA he's just messing with you.

Also i've noticed that the 20% dmg buff is applied before Shadow Embrace so usually if you dispell you just get the 5% dot dmg buff as opposed to the 20% one. If they have that specced.

If you have a haunt on something and it's about to die haunt again and it'll send both back at you immediatly. Right now at 60 i can do this on a mob my level and get healed for 1800 EASY. If they both crit it's more like 3k

You send a ghostly soul into the target, dealing 405 to 473 Shadow damage and increasing all damage done by your Shadow damage-over-time effects on the target by 20% for 12 sec. When the Haunt spell ends or is dispelled, the soul returns to you, healing you for 100% of the damage it did to the target.

Now, I wonder, when does more damage? when you cast it as a first spell or the last?, or its the same?.

I mean, how do I get the +20% damage of this rotations?:
UA > Corruption > Curse of Agony > Haunt
    or
Haunt > UA > Corruption > Curse of Agony (the order after Haunt could vary)

I ask because it says that increasing all damage done by your Shadow damage-over-time effects on the target by 20% for 12 sec, so we should have the Shadow DOTs on the target before the Haunt to get the +20% damage? or you cast Haunt at the beggining to ensure that all the DOTs comming will make 20% more damage?

Im not sure.. Could some one confirm this plz.

Well.. Using "Recount" and the Stormwind's dummy I noticed that Haunt did more damage (DPS) when I casted after all the DOTs on the dummy.
      I tested this way:
      UA > Corruption > CoA > Haunt
      And get more DPS than:
      Haunt > UA > Corruption > CoA

So, I Answered my own question. If anyone had the same doubt as me, here is the answer.

You get the Haunts +20% of Shadow DMG of your DOT's when your target already have all your DOTs.
If you cast Haunt before any other DOTS you would not get the +20% DMG. Tested.
It you cast 1 DOTs and then Haunt, that DOT will get the +20%.

I have a lvl 62 gnome warlock, he's affliction and I LOVE Haunt so much...I have killed a Pally before with it and he got mad at me, when he came back, he targetted me before finally giving up and trying to kill the dk that was there too.  But yeah, unless you're using a voidwalker, use Haunt last when lvling...I use my felhunter cause im affliction and talents i have makes Sloozun better for healing me and giving me mana! but yeah, he doesnt take agro as well as voids do sometimes so when I'd Haunt first (like I did when I first got it) I'd grab agro right away cause its instant damage, not a dot like i thought it was...so if u use it last in ur rotation, ull not grab agro right away...But i use it first now cause what i do is:
    • Haunt
    • Unstable Affliction
    • Curse of Exhaustion
    • Fear
    • Corruption
    • Then I'd cast Shadowbolt or use my wand until I had to recast fear and with talents in Affliction, I never have to recast Corruption if I remember to recast Haunt every 9 seconds(i allow time to cast so that it's traveling to the target when the current Haunt is about to travel back and heal)

So yeah, use haunt over and over and if ur desperate and need heals after a duel and nobody can heal u....just haunt something that will die right away and get healed! i love to do that....Haunt has the coolest animation for any spell in this game.
One more thing I've realized about Affliction Warlocks......
They have the ability to PWN PALLYS....just use the right minion, spells and combination of potions, healthstones and bandages and ull come out with close to max health unless the pally was a huge wuss and bubbled and used LoH cause he/she couldnt deal with losing to a little clothie who relies on an alien thing with antlers!
