Enjoyed these as new editions, didnt know about the stun and taunt on them, and the movement speed increase is ace for fighting casters. 250 dps each is ok, but the attacks are the big thing for em.
Look cool too, just like thralls.

Blue mentioned all their attributes will (eventually) raise based on a % of the Shamans attributes. This applies to everything except hit rating, in which it is directly copied over.

    They do benefit from totems.

As of this post, Heroism does not effect as they are not considered "party or raid" members.

As of 3.0 live, one of their abiities are now passive. Every successful attack, both wolves and the shaman gain equal amount of health to the damage done. At time of the post, they do approx 300damage~ per and attack at 1.0(.7 wf totem) aspd. That's an average of 1800/3hp a second for 45 seconds every 3 minutes, provided conditions allow.

Spirit walk gives you, and them, a rogue-esque "Sprint."

They come with a PvE tanking taunt.

They also come with an attack that closely mimics a druids(cats) Feral Charge, however a 2 second stun at a 30 yard range.

It may not seem as powerful as some of the other new 51pt talents, but I am highly satisfied with the potential.

The wolves also seem to really overwhelm the enemy. many times i have seen an enemy player single handedly picking my allies off, and then once i call these out and send them on him/her they almost just give up.

This gets a thumbs up from me (Y)

True, I'm 70 but have only half my gear completed. Its been a real pain in the past before feral spirits cause I'd die without too much struggle (others being fully geared or enchanted) With this new ability I been taking some good players.

I use feral spirits + fire totem + war stomp + storm strike = most players down 40% in just a few seconds if they don't heal somehow.

Buut, I have been getting double and trippled team more than before lol

so what are the CDs on the abilities?
i mean the charge and the dash and stuff?
    and lemme get this right...
the amount u heal = (shaman dmg + wolves' dmg*2) split 3 times among the 2 wolves and the shaman.
that is the shaman effectively heals himself for [(shaman dmg + wolves' dmg*2)]/3 ?
what if the wolves are at full health? does the entire healing sorta redirect itself to u?
and are WF procs counted as dmg in this? what about spells and stuff also? are they counted as shaman dmg in this equation?

      30 sec dash cooldown
the taunt is about 8 sec cooldown

only the damage the wolves do go to healing. your damage while theyre out doesnt heal.

Also, its funny to see a mage think they cant blink away, and one of the wolves pounce on them. I have been able to take down 2 geared ret pallys by poping my fire elemental, ghost wolves, then Heroism. Needless to say, shammys pwn when their cds are up.

So i am very happy about this new spell. sure it could b a tad bit better but with the short CD it has i cant complain. funny i didnt even realize for a long time of using these that they healed me from doing damage lol. i use these in instances when tank looks like he is having a hard time, i use when i fighting an elite(s) that r giving me a hard time. there taunt is great. i want to spec to healing at 80 but i kick so much a$$ now im not sure if its going to happen.

This post is faded because it has a negative score.

      I love it!
I use em for CC when i'm soloing.
I only ever seem to sit down to eat and drink for the buffs these days. Never run out of mana with shamanistic rage, never run out of health with spirit wolves.

In an instance the other day our tank died and whole mob went straight for priest. Summon spirit wolves and hit the taunt and they out threated a priest who'd been spamming heals since long before they were summoned.

Also since they're not attached to a totem like the earth elemental they're more useful since you can move around with them, and 3 minute cooldown is the schnit!

And finally unlike death knights ghouls, they can be controlled and dont just attack anything in range (unless you got the hunter pet style ghouls at which point this does not apply to you). You can put them on passive, defend, and aggressive just like hunter pets and you can tell them to attack specific targets, so they can for instance keep a magic user busy while you deal with a heavy melee. I don't know how many wipes i had cos death knights keep summoning ghouls which aggro mobs b4 healer gets to have a drink and replenish mana (this is a real pet hate of mine, cos its retarded. Its like a hunter walking into instance and leaving pet on aggro, you just don't do it!).

Feral Spirit and Meteoric Weapon FTW!

I cant seem to beat these.

I have an elemental shaman, and whenever i come by an enhancement shaman, i will usually lose, due to their overwhelming spirit wolves.

What counters these with an elemental shaman?

Power word shield and shields like that is a great counter to the wolfs. Aoe fears too. They have a really hard time breaking through absorbtion and they can't get out of a fear unless they're attacked... don't attack a feral spirit. They can only die when the time expires or when the shaman dies.

Thunderstorm doesn't counter, since they run so fast (and I don't think pets can fall out of an edge), but earthbind totem and then massive dps against the shaman so he never reachs you, that should do the trick. But even if he reachs you, use thunderstorm on him instead of wasting it on the wolfs. That's how I ussually die if I die against an elemental shaman with my ench. It rarely happens though, cuz having 1k resilience makes an ench shaman immortal in 45 seconds in 1 on 1 fights. Mind that if a shaman uses wolfs in a bg, the opposite faction attacks the shaman more than the healers and it's not unusual to see a 5v1 fight --> dead shaman.

These are the main reason enchance shammies are winning Duels currently xD Have yet to see an enhance shammy win one without them. The damage they can dish out is insane, Plus they heal....The shammy just has to sit back and heal and nonhealing classes are screwed O.o

Are these SPIRIT wolves undead or beasts? If undead, psychic scream and sap would be nicely out of the PvP picture.

EDIT: Checked it out; they are beasts.

absolutely hate these mo fo's in fights....they monumentally increase the damage coming at you. Basically when you fight a shaman with his wolves out USE ALL YOUR CD'S.  It'll be well worth it to see that dead shammy not even hitting release cause he's so pissed off.  I have the most trouble with enhance shammies on my lock.  I have to get out my vw whenever i fight an enhance so they cant burn me down in 5 secs and i get a chance to fear.

GL to all against these devilly little rascals.

Grats to shams for finally getting buffed up to where they should be its been a long time since shams have been a force to be reckoned with.

    Happy WoW'ing!
