i tried my moth in Arathi Basin the other day to see how she woukd do in pvp. she was actually pretty good. the serenity dust/ bash combo dishes out a good deal of damage. moths SUCK in dungeons though. if you plan on taking a moth into a dungeon TURN OFF GROWL
do you have to be a beast master to get moths?
waht lvl and you can get a moth
Why is the post 2 above me grayed out? It WAS untameable until the most recent patch. When he posted, that information was correct. Although yes, they are now obtainable. This post is faded because it has a negative score.
I would just like to let u guys know u can use it's heal on ur toon all u have to do is stand dead on your pet target yourself click the move and BOOM. U got heals @$/") u and ur dots warlock I got heals now bitch
I have a level 17 Night Elf Hunter with a moth. It is a very good pet because of the fact that it does decent damage so far. The Serenity Dust ability saves mana for your dpsing. If you go with some points that improve stamina from Beast Master talents, and you set up this pet to deal more damage from it's own talent tree, in addition to defensive talents, it will become an amazing pet. I have not actually tried this out yet, but in theory, it should be flawless. Taunt should always be turned off in dungeons so the tank can aggro. That's a given.
I hope that this helps.
When these came out I took a new Troll Hunter I'd created and did a corpse run out to the Dranei starting zone to tame one. At that point the nice blue ones were not yet tamable, so I got the brown one. Once I was back questing with it in the Barrens it sure looked odd next to me. Never saw another Horde Hunter with one.
Not a great PvP pet though - doesn't do as much damage as other Ferocity pets and lacks a rooting skill. And the self heal didn't turn out to help particularly in the survivability department in PvP as far as I could see. But I had a great time using it in questing and instances. And particularly with a Horde Hunter, it made me pretty unique. Add Comment
