Question: If you're hated by Booty Bay (or in my case, ALL of steamweedle cartel), can you still take part in this competition?

Yes its realy hard to get to the man, i have now tried 3 times to be the first to get 40 fish, and being beaten, just because those stupid goblings, killed me, or shoot me off the platform, realy qstupid :S. This post is faded because it has a negative score.
You can obtain a quest the day before by going into a major city and talking to a goblin there (There is a quest to complete and you get a flyer. Weither or not you need this to participate is not known to me.)
It's not an easy achievement- especially on a PvP server where I have heard it being called 'gankfest.' See if you can try to get it during a holiday or perhaps while others are in Wintergrasp or some sort of event goes on.
got this today, i was so happy :)
i just farmed the Wild Shore (i think thats what it's called) - the sandy beach filled with bloodsail on the most southern part of STV, losts of schools, only ran into one other player, and very close to booty bay i chose the trinket as a reward & spent the next 30 mins swimming in dala fountain in fish form :D just need to catch a rare fish then i get my title :) GL to everyone trying to get this :D
ummm... so i was curious about doing this and so i asked someone in trade to pst me and answer my questions.
he told me that all you have to do is be ready to fish when 2p comes around and that you have to be the first to fish up 40 tastyfish and get back to booty bay. now he said there is no quest/flyer to get which leaves me very confused after reading earlier posts. can anyone please confirm or deny what i have been told- preferably someone with the achievement lol. oh and he also said that the best/easiest way to win is to pay ppl or friends and have them go gank horde and stand on the bobbers of alliance...
um so i went up and down the wild coast for a half hour and didnt find any tasty fish schools am i missing something? oh yeah i was there at server 2pm so thats not the problem. any help would be great!
This was pretty easy to win.. first try.. Just make sure you are there at 1:58 and have over 475 fishing. Set your HS to BB for quick turn in
