this is rune FORGING, not runes!

each move uses a cirten type of rune (or more then one) they are then put on a short cooldown each rune based attack generates runic power that can be used for other attacks i am a blood dk so here is my attack sequence:

open with a pull of some sort
icy touch (one frost rune)
plague strike (one unholy rune)
death strike (for a fast quick heal one frost and one unholy rune)
heart strike (one blood can be substituted for blood strike if ur blood but don't have it yet)

enemy should be dead by now srry i don't know frost or unholy yet someone else post i am too lazy to find out

Unholy is very simple and consists of
(For starters)
1. Icy Touch
2. Plague Strike
3. death Strike
4. Plague strike (only if you specked well)
5. If its not dead yet death coil
6. ONLY WHEN FIGHTING MOBS, before once use death and decay around you and once you have enough rune power don't use death coil, use unholy blight.

heart strike dosnt substitute for blood strike!

QFT. I follow this rotation down to the T. However, I like to focus on Unholy's sick AoE ability so I gather mobs, TAB select one, then Icy Touch, Plague Strike and Pestilence. This gets some decent AoE going and lets me TAB to different mobs and hit them with Blood Strikes or Icy Touches. I also drop Unholy Blight to keep the party going. In Hellfire Peninsula, I can gather about 5-6 of the orcs and AoE them down without even losing half of my HP. Unholy is simply a sick spec.

PS: Blood Presence with Unholy is the IPWN button for DK's.

Blood specc:

1. Obliterate
2. Obliterate
3. Heart Strike
4. Heart Strike
5. Heart Strike
6. Heart Strike
7. Heart Strike
8. Heart Strike

If you specced right the frost and unholy runes will turn into death runes when you use Obliterate. Blood Worms and Blood Prescence more than makes up for the healing lost by not using Death Strike. At least one of the Heart Strikes should procc the Sudden Doom talent, so the critting Death Coil goes off somewhere in the middle.

Btw, everyday mobs are usually too weak to stand through this combo, but good DPS vs. bosses and elites.

P.S. No, i did NOT forget about diseases, they are not important unless you are an Unholy DK.

Diseases aren't important for Blood or Frost? You're right. I hate getting my target diseased, then using Pestilence to spread it to everything I'm tanking to create more threat and damage.

if you are dual wielding will the same one handed rune forged enchant stack?

(if anyone survives howling blast then frost strike em)

Im blood i use

1 Obliterate waste a frost rune
2 frost stike get that extra 12.5% for obli and 10 for heartstrike
3 plague strike addition 12.5% oblit and 10 for heartstrike
4 heartstrike
5 heartstrike
6 obliterate, deathrunes should be cooled down by now... consume both disease's...not if ur blood frost mix
7 if target is not dead yet it must be another dk in which case 2x death coil and start process again!

Right now, I am a Lvl 66 DK. What is the best rune for my weapon?
