There are like 7 Restoration Glyphs
Regrowth, Swiftmend, Rejuvination, Lifebloom
No, you can not inscribe the same glyph more than once.
Glyph of savage roar would be nice...increase duration.
I wish there was Typhoon glyph, that would be awesome thing.
there is a typhoon glyph, it decreases mana cost of typhoon by 8% but it no longer knocks enemies back.
What happened to the polar bear form glyph?
I WANT MY POLAR BEAR FORM!
a glyph of flight form that increases speed by 10-15% would be nice.
a glyph of flight form that increases speed by 10-15% would be nice.
that wouldnt be quite fair since no other class would have the same...but i guess that pally aura needs a kick in the ass...
amen :P
although DK's got on a pale horse talent right?
That would be appropriate, considering the level 70 trinket that increased flight form speed has been deleted, or the flight form speed increase was removed. Carrot on a stick, riding crop, or any other mount increases dont work higher then 70. So i think there should be.
i want polarbear glyph also...
and cat glyphs!
Its a real shame they removed the polar bear form and the other shapeshift changers.... shaman also got the wolf glyph removed..
why you ask me? i have no frekin idea :(
edit: i'm using the healing touch glyph + some talents in restoration talents... now my healing touch is a 1 sec cast xD although it heals less than it should it gives the druid the ability to effectively do spam heals quickly and compared to the normal 3 sec cast it is stronger if you would cast it 3 times :P
Well, now its called Nourish, so that trinket that decreases cast time is no longer needed.
If ur healing as a druid and u need a 1sec cast healing touch...
you shouldn't be healing.
The glyph for Healing Touch is very leaned towards pvp where very fast heals are the difference between a win and a loss in an arena match
healing touch = obsolete (only should be used if macroed to use nature's swiftness then healing touch for emergency use)
rejuve = new lifebloom of WOTLK (cheapest spell use for anyone who gets hurt)
lifebloom... only for main tanks (too much overheals otherwise and far too much mana now...)
regrowth... only when u have fail tank in instances or you're single target healing in raids
nourish when u need large enough, fast heals
swiftmend = in case of emergency

Actually, it is possible to have a Healing Touch build which works very well for MT healing duties. Effectively you talent for decreased cast speed, mana efficiency and extra heal, take the HT glyph which reduces it's casting time (and healing amount) and stack Haste like it's all there is in the world. You then get more heal for your mana on a similar casting time than spamming Nourish! That is why it is there, please do your homework before rubbishing a spell!
Lifebloom is the druids main heal - if you are concerned about overheals then go roll a priest, simple as that! Druids will always overheal, fact of life, but it is only a problem if mana is an issue - and if mana is an issue as a druid you need to learn to play the class better.
Putting Lifebloom (x3), Rejuv and Regrowth on your MT while in Ulduar or downing Koralon is sometimes the only way to keep them alive...and I wouldn't say tanks at that level are "fail" as you so delicately put it.
Seems to me someone needs to either stop commenting on healing glyphs if they don't heal or learn to use all yoru spells effectively and as they are meant to be....otherwise you will struggle with end game content if you think spamming Rejuv is all you need to do!
stupid blizzard give polarbear glyph and cat ones :(
I'm thinking of getting the Swiftmend, Lifebloom and Rebirth glyphs for my lvl 80 resto druid but I'm not sure if I should take the Regrowth glyph instead of the Rebirth glyph
It depends alot on playstyle but i use atm: Rejuv, Inervate, and switmend.
Rebirth can only be used every 20mins and when u rez someone ur targeting them waiting to spam heals anyway
Swiftmend is a must-have. In a raid u can pop on extra heals on the tank if he gets unlucky on evasion without upsetting rotation or in pvp being able to pop rejuv and a sm without worry about reapplying is awesome; or even better...insta regrowth+swiftmend+hot in <2sec.
Inervate gets used alot on harder raid bosses or when you find yourself doing more then your share of the healing (damn pugs..)
abd getting a bonus even if u use it on someone else is nice.
and rejuv... some ppl take regrowth over this, but you should never need regrowth unless ur ina "wtf just happened" situation, (in which case the rejuvs +50% will be better anyway) and its your most inefficient hot to boot.
On aoe-happy bosses youll be spamming rejuv instead of lifebloom for more heals and alot of the ppl will be dropping below 50% anyway.
You could sub lifebloom for rejuv if you find you're losing alot of 3 stacks, but often the druids that have trouble are the ones who dont have Nature's Splendor (11 points into balance)
Guys, I'm kinda' new. What is this Glyph all about? Where we get them? Who make them? What it does? Hope i'm not to annoying.
Glyphs are simply a sort of talents that let's you further costumise your abilities. some glyphs make the designated spell stronger by increasing its duration, effectiveness, cooldown you name it, but i can also change the way the spell works entirely.
for instance you have the flash heal of a pala that heals for 100, now with the glyphs of flash heal on you will heal with it for 60% less but you will heal for a 140% of the intial heal after you cast it on your target over an amount of time. This turns your flash heal from a spam heal to a heal over time spell.
you can only have a number of glyphs active at a time and not all glyph slots are available at lower levels. The new proffesion called inscription creates such glyphs for players to use. To activate a glyph you will need to right click the glyph in your inventory near a lexicon of power that is located next to an inscription trainer. ask a guard for directions.
remember to use glyphs that would benefit eachother and glyphs also do not stack so don't even bother putting 2 of the same glyphs on.
Ordoth 80 warrior Stormrage Server EU
Dude, I went to Dalaran to get this Glyph, met Professor Pallin (Grand Master Inscription Trainer), Suppose to be able to learn starting from LVL 5. It wouldn't click to learn? Do I need to learn enchanting or Herbalism first to learn this profession??? Please help annoying guy. Thanks
i made a druid alt just cuz i like druids and wanted a BOOMkin...i enjoy playing him quite a bit....Druids are a HIGHLY versatile class they can do EVERY job in an instance tank, Melee DPS, Caster DPS, Main Healer and off healer, and can tank (although some fights its better to have a warrior or paladin tank because of Block...
Druids have equiv dmg negation to warrs/pallys/dks in equiv gear: dodge is higher then any other class (in proper equiv gear). They still have less evasion, however they have more armour, even after trink armour has been negated. They also have dramtically more health which allows them to handle more damage before they need a heal.
Also, in high-end raiding content dmg negation begins to lose priority over threat retention of main tank (tps).
If you're picking a tank the things you should consider are: What classes do i already have? Are they geared enough for this instance? Do they already know fights? Will they need gear that me/my friend's need?
Not: I wonder which class is best for tanking...
DRUID POWA!
Now with savage defense we have more damage mitigation. Every crit procs it and swipe has atleast 1 crit in almost every click.
Thats some good info m8.
did not know that before
Droods that cast or heal in normal form are nubs, why lose the bonuses of OOmkin and Firewood?
If they haven't achieved Boomkin or Tree form yet, then they obviously can't use it.
Also, if a Boomkin is soloing and hits a heal, he drops back to normal form. Once in normal form the druid has to weigh the choice between the mana used to switch back to Moonkin and the mana used to keep healing due to the reduced armor. Sometimes it makes sense to switch back, sometimes it doesn't.
Ty all i just made my druid alt a little bit ago becuse i am makeing him my new twink i find i like the new feral charge alot ty all again
If you are thinking about twinking him i think the 29 range is perfect, and my reason is, with the talent for increased cat form running, your the fastest one out there, except a shaman in ghost wolf form.
My resto druid uses these Glyphs
Lifebloom. Good, increased duration=reduced mana cost and more time for other things
Swiftmend. Im gonna replace this for innervate i think, rarely uses SM cause of nourish anyway...
Regrowth best glyph for resto druid! When u get some epix your mana reg will be skyhigh and you wont go oom. regrowth is your main healingspell, combined with livingseed and improved regrowth and natural grace your regrowth is an awesome spell!much much healing : >
Minors are aquaform, rebirth and thorns
i would like to contradict the above post, i only use regrowth on main tanks when needed and on OS 3d other than that i dont like it much, i have 1.3k spirit and ~550 mp5 and still i dont like it to spam it cause of the huge mana cost, i use rejuv/lifebloom and nourish as my bred and butter. Innervate glyph is the best druid glyph in history, lifebloom is a close second and swiftmend too, i cant imagine not using swiftmend in raids o.O
they need to add a glyph for wild growth though lol
Where is my glyph of travel form?
Minor Glyph: Increase speed of travel form by 60%, but can no longer be cast in combat. (Turn Travel form into instant ground mount)
Liking the potentially new glyph that lowers starfall's cooldown by half in 3.1, hopefully they keep it as coupled with the other one that decreses radius by half (NOT A BAD THING) but increses damage by 20%. Personally for raiding the starfire glyph that extends moonfire's duration by 3 sec each cast stacking 3 times and the one that increases periodic damage by 75% but lowers initial damage by 90% with the innervate glyph for oomers seems to be the best for Boomkin raiding. Minors are unburdened rebirth, dash cooldown reduction(a must have for all specs btw, WILL SAVE YE ARSE!)and mana reduction for mark+gift of the wild)Thoughts on whether this new amp to starfall will make it actually fesible or not?
As much as I would like starfall it really is not a raiding spec talent. Most bosses are single target and that glyph while amazing for clearing the trash in grand widows room, would be useless most of the time. Also if you needed to get 2 glyphs to make it work best what ones would you sacrifice? Innervate is amazing for all casting spec but the increase duration of moonfire is almost a must have due to improved insect swarm. It is just one talent point but I think it is one too many when I already do not have enough to go around.
Which is an good set for an balance and feral druid?
Feral tank or feral dps. That makes a big diffrence. Any way, it's pretty easy to pick glyphs. just read them and you'll see what you need in the discription.
Well here is some good news for the polar bear lovers.
With the look of cat form will depend on the kind of hair(night elf) or skin(tauren). Tauren will also be capable to change juts like hair ;p!
I thought that the color change thing would only be able with bears not cats, but it would be cool to have colorific cats too.. anyway, if night elves have purple hair, that means purple cats and bears??? lol
i am doing balance as my talent points, what glyphs should i put in the slots, i have two major and one minor and not sure what to put there
new morph glyphs coming in next patch although i didnt see the boomkin colour change glyph.
And why they would make it a major glyph i have no idea, got to be minor imo.
There are no useful glyphs for a feral druid who doesn't usually run instances. I never use rip or shred while questing since mangle deals almost as much damage and is much easier to use. The glyph of mangle is lame since the buff is applied so often on a target anyway. I wish Blizzard would add more non-tanking glyphs for this aspect of the class.
I disagree...The Rake glyph is infinitely useful, to not have to chase any enemies down...ever.....is huge deal for a feral druid. Starfire and wrath are nice and Glyph of Innervate is useful (all if you are levelling as Balance granted). But I must say Claw is the most useless glyph imaginable!
Glyph of claw was very usefull to me from lv 20-50. Claw is basicly your main cat dps skill until you get mangle. And reducing the cost with 5 energy will make you able to use it more often which results in more damage.
Yes I retract previous comment about Claw glyph being uselss...it certainly has it's niche for levelling feral druids. I basically mean that most glyphs are designed to make you more efective in end-game and are not exceptionally useful during levelling...the claw one being an obvious exception although still I managed to level without it as Feral :)
I found the Rake glyph much more useful while levelling since I didn't have to chase after mobs who ran away and you can only have 1 major glyph before getting Mangle so it's one or the other.
