No WoW is way more graphic and adds new places instead of the same old places all the time and you can make a different town your home!

i think that this is shamefull... Runescape is actually starting to look almost better then wow at this point... they said it would be like a 3hr. server down and its turned into all day...

This depends on the player.  Personally, WoW is better in every aspect than that of Runescape, but John, Jane and Joanna might say Runescape is better than WoW.  How?  Personal preference.

The best thing that RS has over WoW is that it is focused on solo play as much as WoW is around Group play. Srs the only thing I can do when I'm alone is do BGs or Dailys.

As someone who has played both games for a long time I am currently on wow but runescape has better gameplay wow has better graphics. the best thing about runescape is that your toon fighting style is based on what equipment you are using atm not on what class or race you are which causes some classes being overpowered over others. If someone is OP on Runescape its because he is a better player and has matched his equipment better than you have. If I feel like ranging on rs I put on range gear if I feel like mage I put on my mage gear and if I feel like tanking I put on my heavy armor and big ass sword.
On wow you have to create an entirely new toon to do different things and have to lvl it up too.
If runescape ever got the graphics wow has RS would be much better to play. They have done a pretty good job upgrading RS last year and driving out all the gold farmers (selling gold and equipment for real cash ) that are now infesting wow .
Also, you can choose whatever server you want to play in each time you log on, not bound to one server forever.
Wow better watch out rs is slowly turning into a real player.

Warcraft costs "x" amount of money monthly depending on ur subscription an you still have to buy their microsoft buggy upgrades... errr..warcraft expansions...sorry... an the occasional over maint every tuesday or 1/7 of what u pay for anyway-

an i do believe characters in runescape have more individuality then warcraft- so it comes down to bein a follower or a individual..

well there's really no contest wow has about 11 mill while runescape has about um 18k. hacks hacks hacks pretty much you don't need to play much in that game do to pretty much every1 just logs on to a account and take there items. runescape is a "kid friendlily game" with bad graphics and losy monsters with hardly any attacks

To be honest you should compare someone grinding lv 1 wolves to someone grinding lv 1 goblins.

i Played RS about 4 years ago i honestly thought it was great hell i hacked into a lvl 100 account. but now i play wow and its great graphics  are better and honestly im a group player and that doesnt happen in RS so heres my opinion hope u guys like it!



p.s. RS sucks compared to WoW + you also get talents which is great

Wow is 100000x better then runescape no questions asked. Wityh runescape you have to set recovery questions you have to set a bank pin and u have to create a very complex password just to keep ur account fropm being hacked! which happens to everyone playing the game! its very rare for someone to have their wow account stolen because they have to know all of their personal info. like come on! Runescape is a peice of trash on the side of the road compared to wow! and also the only way to level your character is if you train your strength then your def then ur attack and then ur strength and so on and so on! with wow just do a whole bunch a quests an instance or two and u leveled! Wow is superior to that srry peice of shit called runescape!

The pros of WoW is that it has:

- better visuals
- a much larger world
- many different environments
- 'what you wear is what you see'
- much better music and sound effects
- better physics engine
- a much more professional staff
- GM's are almost always online
- flexible and customizable UI

HOWEVER, game play preference really depends on the player.  Some may find WoW overwhelming and/or not really that fun and prefer Runescape's simpler game play. 

Just as why many prefer Warhammer Online or D&D Online - they target different aspects of gaming.

Hello.  I play WOW and used to play runescape.  I go to the University of Oxford and I convinced my socialology teacher to let us conduct this research project.  We found that the less immature players that never tried WOW or can't afford it say it's better.  As you know, runescape is taking Blizzard's wonderful ideas but the obvious choice of game is WOW.

Runescape was developed and released more than 3 years before WoW, hence the graphics being outdated.  They are also not a development power house like Blizzard-Activision.  So players there cannot expect weekly patches and vast overhauls with new content like with WoW.

Added: actually I'm amazed that Runescape is a browser-based game.  I was and still is never a fan of browser-games but having a 3D Java engine through a browser is pretty incredible, given the size of the world and content it has.

I level my Holy Priest from 70 to 80 in about 3-4days played.

Only ever grouped for the elite bosses that one hit me, and that isnt much.

I also reached level 80 in grizzly hills, fully completing borean tundera and howling fjorde.

And if the idea of a large world to travel around in makes you feel burdened, I suggest you play tetris or double dragon.

Holy crap, 3-4 days?!?  How many hours did you put into your toon?

I've been playing WotLK for almost two weeks and only got him to 72.5.  Did a lot of exploring and spent about 8 in-game hours leveling.

for starters the graphics were made for 4 year olds with a bad computer. also 1 out 6 people in the game get hacked from what i hear. wow is just plain better in everyway

My computer is 5 years old and can play WoW fine, not sure why this would be a problem for many people. The game was released 4 years ago and AFAIK they haven't updated the graphics since then.

Think about this "runescape" in killing it's self to just compair to it it's being like a overobsessive fanboy wanting to be like his star and flying off a roof it just doesn't work out for the fanboy.........not so sadly...........we all hate runescape right whos w/ me?

On RS: lets not forget that one time i crit for 4 dmg at max level!

On WoW: Gameplay is like: I hit you, you firebolt me, i try to heal, you sheep, I stun, I hit judgement, you ice block, I heal, you frostbolt, i hit you, you die, come right back, restart battle.

I tried Runescape.  What can I say? It sucked.  Basically, you hit autoattack and watch, maybe cast a spell once in a while.  The only thing i liked was the whole woodcutting/fishing/cooking/etc... ordeal.  The rest, well...  down the toilet.  If WoW used the "all professions" thing, it'd utterly dominate Runescape in the market.  Right now its just mostly combat.  Then again everyone would be OP if they had all the profs.

if that ever happens to wow, i'd delete my account and shave my beard. imo the worst thing about runescape is its a mainly grinding game... not much skill involved, its just a matter of who put the most time into getting the higher numbers. heh in the end we'd be spending more time levelling profs than anything else >.< boooring! but still, i guess we'd all benefit heh.

I had never heard any cases in Runescape where if someone was hacked, scammed or suffered a bug where they lost items they got their items back from game admins.

Even with the "Falador Massacre" where a game glitch allowed one guy to partake in PvP anywhere in the world, he ended up killing someone who lost a green party hat so the guy lost about 100m gold -.- that'd be like someone in WoW having their Reins of the Traveler's Tundra Mammoth deleted due to a game glitch then not getting reinbursed for it.  I think that's pretty shoddy customer service.

I understand that RS is awesome at being a java based game however it really doesn't have anything on WoW ;P

if you think runescape owns then you are obviously on magic mushrooms world of warcraft is better.. you should be comparing wow to war hammer not to runescape. it'sn like runescape is the lvl 10s while wow , war, are the lvl 80s guess who will win the duel wow ? runescape??? hmm not very hard.. a lvl 20 on wow could one hit a lvl 128 on runescape
