This is the best "Mount ever" Why?
When you're in combat you can still use it to mount up and fly away.
I was using this to raid the ships in Icecrown, even when you're netted you can still use it and fly away.
Stun effects, movement impairing effects, effects that make you lose control all dont apply to you anymore on this mount.
A warlock kept constantly fearing me (up until the point I was immune)but I had complete control the whole time.

Dunno if they'll fix it in the next patch

You can use in combat. You can use while being hit only way to stop you is fear or stun! NEVER NEVER log out on this mount! If you do you will log back on falling off your mount

Cba to buy flying skill for 3 characters, so this is a perfect choice, even if it is FUCKING SLOW.

how exactly do you get the gryphon???

You can't fly all over NR with the loaned Gryphon, just Storm Peaks, Ice Crown, and Sholozar Basin.

This was good for my alt until i could afford epic flyer. And the people who say this is for people who can't use money, it's not, just for people that are just short of getting an epic flyer for their 2nd character.

If you press the leave vehicle button in midair you fly off with a parachute.

This is by far Bizzard's greatest gift to wowkind. I don't even need to be trained past
150 riding to get this. totally F R E E by talking to the guy at k3 next to FP, then check
your bags, should be in there. I talked to guy but didn't realize what he dropped in
my bag lol(guess i should read).

Can be mounted in combat! costs you ZERO gold, gets you through quests you will
need. worry about 225+ riding and epic mount at 80. This will suffice nicely and does
tricks too! ^^

Even if this mount is slow it is so awesome!

i took this mount while questing be4 lvl 80, and i kept using it while farming enough gold to buy Artisan flying + Northrend, but since patch 3.2 i can t use this mount anymore. It s still in my inventory but when i try to use it, it says that i can t use it here, of course im using it in the allowed zones. Does any1 know what to do to make it work properly? should i delete and take another from the vendor??

Can't use it after patch 3.2 either. Tried destryoing it and get a new one but that didn't work either, still said the same thing.

Yeah, I know, I know... it's part of the game, and by the time you get to X level you should have X amount of gold. That's not the issue. The issue is providing a useful and vital bit of gameplay and then arbitrarily taking it away.  How is gameplay made better and how does Blizzard benefit from removing the "loaner" flying mount? Do they get any real money from the gold now required to fly in certain areas that they didn't before? Are the quests more fulfilling and attract more players if the mount isn't loan-available? No to all.
It's a powerplay by Blizz, pure and simple, and we're stuck with it if we want to keep playing. We play the game and Blizz plays with us. And I've paid enough money into this game to have my opinion on this.

This mount is for morons who somehow get poor as they level.
