I was shooting the breeze with a fellow hunter while we both searched for it and here is what I've learned from my own experience.
It doesn't seem to share cooldowns with the other rares in the area, unless it is in a more or less 4hrs timer (Which no rare that I know of is). We saw one of the rare get killed around 12:00am and I tamed mine at 4:00 am. Get it now while not many people know about it. Since the camp is a lot easier than Loque, I'm sure this one will become the standard spirit beast as more people find out about it. Be ready for a million whispers everytime you set foot in a major city. Took me 2 days of flying loops around the area, but it was nothing compared to Loque. I can confirm the spawn point at 68, 78 where I tamed it. It sounds just like Loque, although not as loud (which is one of the coolest things about Loque, you can hear him a mile away, lol). Can barely see it when its on Prowl. Gondria appears as a yellow dot (non aggresive), when tracking beasts. It moves back and forth, doesn't wander around. Has a ghostly, light purple color to it, with bright green eyes. Leaves "ghostly footprints" as he goes. It looks absolutely kicks ass! Need to lvl it up and compare dps vs his royal "badassness" Loque. I'll update once I get it to 80.

Update: I've leveled to 80 my new spirit beast and compared with his royal majesty (Loque, lol), they are roughly the same output. So sad BM DPS got nerfed to hell, but thank God for dual spec, lol. These beasts are so rare and so cool looking that its a shame they are not viable DPS, sadly they are nothing more than "combat vanity pets". The only difference between the two is aesthetics, so go with the one you like the most. Go out there and make it happen!

I've been sat at the spawnpoint behind Zim'Rhuk for about six hours straight now.
I'm Horde, and so far one blood elf kept trying to pull the elites onto me then feign, one tauren death knight whispered me to inform me he'd just killed it but it was skinned--but couldn't link the drops and just happens to be in party with a lvl 80 hunter guildmate camping the other spawnpoint... The only person who's been a decent human being toward me is a night elf who politely waved hello and helped get a bear off my back when I couldn't get range.
If this night elf is about when the rare spawns I'll let him have it, but I'll be damned if I leave Gondria to the others, the exact sort of jerks that give hunters and campers a bad name.
FOR GOD'S SAKES people, we're all here for the same thing, be nice to your fellow hunters and try and show a little courtesy and respect.
Grats to anyone who gets him (personally I couldn't be a*sed) but I notice a lot of people who have Loque/Gondria on my server eventually end up going back to their old pets. Probably because of the dps?
The only time I ever see them out is in Dalaran when the hunter is pretending to be afk (you can't fool me, I know you're not ;P). I see the same hunters later on, out and about killing things with a different pet.
Again, grats to anyone who gets him as I can only imagine how tricky it is. I still think nothing beats teh sexiness of Humar or Echeyakee though. :)
Same story, different day. I spent day and night after day and night camping, flying, etc, sometimes from when I get up to 5am, I FINALLY got her, by sheer good luck. Loc by the border of Grizzly Hills....I was in a rush to leave home to run some errands, but decided to do a few quick laps, and BAM, there she was.

OMG....I just tamed him. I have been looking for him for weeks. Tamed him 68,78 location. I was getting bored so when went to Grizzly Hills and tame a moth. Came back to the area and letting my newly tamed moth do some killings. Then I spotted the yellow dot on my mini map...My heart was pounding. Couldn't believe eyes. I quickly abandoned my moth....easy taming...Woot. Got lucky.

If you use an Add-on like NPCScan, make sure you manually add Gondria to the database. I was on my hunter making the loop before Naxx, and saw her yellow dot amidst the red ones near the southern edge of Zul near Grizzly Hills. The NPCScan add-on did not alert me, as I had neglected to add her name to the database. Got very lucky and tamed her 8:40 pm server. Have since been told that the add-on "Silverdragon" does a better job than NPCScan, with no tweaking involved. Going to give it a try. and see which one works better. I followed Lokito's co-ordinates and flew over the zones mentioned. Only spent maybe an hour or two total looking for her. Found her today at 68, 77 directly south of the ''KOA'' part of ''Har'KOA'' on the map. She looks awesome, thank you so much and good luck all :D. She's not part of the Frostbitten achievement so doesn't need killing. I can confirm she comes with prowl and a cool moonfire style spell called Spirit Strike.
TYVM for your kind words sir or ma'am. As you have mentioned, Gondria isn't part of the "kill rares achievement", still in our server we have greedy people, that maybe due to ignorance or lack of information, still aim to kill this gorgeous beast. Not sure why, the spawn points are in the middle of nowhere, not near any quest objective, but still they kill it for the hell of it. Still, I've been able to help a few others get theirs.
As you have mentioned, pets now learn their skill automatically when you tame them and the skills lvl up as the pet levels up.
Gondria is not on Prowl when its non-aggresive (before tame), but it may be somewhat tricky to see since its translucent and considering most of the background on the spawn points is white. This is easily fix by tracking beast (yellow dot, surrounded by red dots (reg aggresive beast)). Personally I prefer the macro over mods like silver dragon or npc scan, but again this is my personal choice (it gives me something to do, instead of flying around mechanically).
You can consider yourself extremely lucky thats for sure! You just spent a few hours getting it, over ppl that has been looking for days for it, lol. Congratulations!!!
Sometimes I think these pretty beasts choose us, instead of us hunting them down. Both my tames (Loque and Gondria) have been them spawning on top of my head, lol. So I figure when its your time to get them and if you show a little perseverance (or in my case just being hardheaded about it), its just a matter of time before getting it. Best of lucks to you all!

i have been searching for gondria for almost 2 weeks now and never seen her once. i did happen to see and kill zul'drak sentinel but that was the only rare ive seen

Most people don't realise that, they see that for the first achievement they need to kill 1 rare, and for the next, it LOOKS like you have to kill them all.
Gondria is basically identical to Loque in all ways, except for appearance, and actually he also sounds different as well!
I personally captured him in less than 24 hours of hearing about this elusive beast. How?
With the way the new pvp system works, I went out to Zul'Drak and constantly flew around his spawn points. Whenever an AV que popped, took it and played. Then that kills a lot of time, and pops your right back in the search. Careful if you do have a pet out though as spawning out of battlegrounds for some reason, mounted or not causes your pet to run along side you, or in my case, below me. Captured at approximately 4am server time.

i was searching for 4 days just going around the spawn points and i cant find him, so i was near stairs playing a mini-game till he spawns, i stayed 5 hours in one spot and he didnt spawn up, so i took a search around and still i couldnt find him.. so i was going around the spawn points again and again till i was just flying bored.. i was about to just go and just give up but then i saw a Yellow Dot out of 100 red dots, when i saw it in the mini-map i was shaking nervously and moved my mouse over and there was Gondria, i quickly went stood on my freez trap, taim beast and BAM cought him!
Its been 4 days and in the end i found a yellow dot in the mini-map nd there he was! This kitty looks awesome and is defenitly worth every second searching.. Sexy looking and Sick DPS with a kewl moonfire animation spell.
k, the day i cought him i was going around one spawn point.. it was 72,72 just go look around that area a bit and he spawned exactly at the time 12:55 AM Server time, when the server time hit 12:55 he just appeared at the minimap..
So good luck to all hunters searching i defenitly agree u will love this kitty and u might be lucky in the first 24-hr searching u might find him.. keep trying to find him and when u do u will love him from his awesomeness. DONT GIVE UP!

levelling to 80 a bit of a pain. is it worth it? also, I used to be specced for marksmanship but will have to revert to BM to keep on using this pet. another pain. oh well.....
THANKS SO MUCH FOR ALL THE HELPFUL POSTS. I tamed this beautiful pet today on the Undermine server at around 8:30 PM server time. I had already looked for like 6-7 hours, then I decided to do Black Temple which was a total fail run. Then I decided I'd look one last time, saw the dot on my map, and screamed on Vent "OH MY GOD GUYS! I FOUND IT!!!!!" but as I got closer, I saw a level 80 Hunter standing there. So I was dissapointed but soo happy when he said "I already have her. All yours." This pet looks awesome and it definately worth getting.

O.k. So I have a level 80 hunter on Korgath. I have camped for the elusive Loque, and then when I found out about Gondria I decided to forget about Loque due to the achievement being on his head like a bounty. Of course I never had any luck finding it until after I switched my secondary spec to marks. I was flying around Zul'Drak on my d.k. mining when Gondria appears. I sent out a general message trying to find a hunter looking for him. First person to reply about the rare elite was a druid whom I didn't want to have kill it since there was no achievement. I checked Sholazar for hunters, Dalaran, Stormwind, Ironforge, Icecrown, and finally found a bm hunter in Storm peaks who said they would head right over. I was actually about to switch over to a horde toon just so a hunter that was looking for Gondria would get a chance to tame it. As the hunter is in flight along comes the druid named stafina and attacks it. I told them there was no achievement for it, but they killed it anyways. I hope that the person enjoys the little blue ring as hunters that know the pain of camping these elites all miss out once again because of someones stupidity. Sorry about the ranting, but it is quite disappointing to go through that much trouble to help someone else out and have them have to stare at a corpse like I did. And yes, I created an account just to put this on here :P
Have you actually specced into the talent at the bottom of the BM talent tree "Beast Mastery" or have you just put 51 points into the talent tree and not specced into that one?
Found her at the North East corner of Zim'Rhuk's little altar; the one guarded by big stone elites.
Just tamed her at 5:33 ST Saurfang at the eastern spawn point by the cliff.
Just tamed her, used Echo's map it did wonder's, after 1 1/2 hours of searching found her. Used the trap didnt want to risk it ..... There was a dwarf looking for her earlier <_<. Thanks again for your post Echo :]
after days/week of hunting for Lo'que in Scholaz Basin-- and didn't get him, I flew over to Zul'Drak, and THERE SHE IS "GONDRIA" :) Lucked out! Literally took me 15 secs to find/tame her :) Excellent!
I can confirm a location for you. I tamed this beauty at about 2:30 pm server time at location 70, 48 (approximately) in Zul'Drak.
The process I used:
1) Drop a frost trap. Gondria is a yellow/neutral npc, so you have to aggro her. When you aggro, she will make a swipping motion and then pounce on you, so you have to stand 'in' the trap.
2) After you aggro Gondria and she pounces you, step back.
3) Tame Beast. Done!
I spent a couple hours the day before looking for one of the spirit beasts, and today I was lucky and found her right out of the blocks.

After nearly a month of searching for her, I finally found her and tamed her. It was about 5:30pm on Eldre Thalas. I found her around 69, 48.
I am so happy to have finally found her. Now if only I can find skoll before horde kills him again.
Finally found it....a month of searching and other horde stole it from me 2 days ago...but I found it today. I tamed it at 67,78 at 7:42 server time...echoe isles
After spending weeks searching for a spirit beast I had an amazing evening. 22:40 server time tamed Nuramoc (it was months that i was after him). Just hoped in the outland, just to have a look and there it was, right in front of me east of Arklon Ruins! Follow till i got him at the right distance and in no time he was mine. Feeling lucky, after a ruinous defeat in WG, i decided to test my luck. Flight in Zul'Drak and there she was just east of the Temple of Har'koa, a yellow dot on my radar! Tamed at 23:45. I still can't believed! It was really my evening! Two rare beasts at once. Now I'm done taming. I Have to say that i have quite a collection: Sian Rotan (the one that I'm most proud of), Devilsaur, and Uvuros.
Just hit 77 so started my spirit beast collection. After looking for Loque'nahak for 2 hrs, I went to Zul Drak to find Gondria. Low and behold flyin around Temple of Harkoa (67,78) he was just chillin out. Definately used the above tactics of standin on top of trap and it worked like a charm. Too easy to get him. Found this one today at 9:00 pm after just logging in. Tamed Skoll and Loque at 5:00 am 2 days ago within 20 minutes. So I've got all 3 now! Lucky me XD

Two days ago, I accidentally came across Gondria at the Altar of Mam'toth siting location at 69,48. I was two bars shy of lvl 77, so ran around until I leveled, but of course she was gone by the time I got back. So, I've been obsessed since seeing her beauty and camped at that spot, occasionally flying the wide circle of all other sitings I'd noted on map. At 1p today, I began to make the rounds and found her just left of the stairway at 62,42. Killed the bear and avoided the Guardian of Zim'Rhuk patrol, then followed everyone's advice of standing inside frost trap and with no effort, tamed her by 1:03p. Good luck, ya'll!
Ok So I know every hunter might hate me for this but about a hour ago I logged on in Sholozar basin.. Looked down and right below me was Loque. I was like Omg OMg jumped down Tamed him and hearthed to Dal. Stood tehre about 5 minuts and was liek maybe Ill go Check Gondria.. so I flew to Zul drak check his spawn point sbut no luck. so I flew to Storm Peaks.... And low and behold There was Skoll Standing so pretty at his second point.. I Tamed him and hearthed to Dal since my hearth was just up again.
So I stood in Dal admiring my new pets for about 20 minutes and thought Ok before I log on my Pally to raid Ill check Gondria again. Flew to Zuldrak and started my circle Right away Got to First spawn point and There she was. I just tamed All 3 beasts Within 1 hour..... Ok SO i Won't ever say I have crap luck again :)
Btw This was On Skullcrusher Loque was tamed at 7:38 server Time Skoll at 8:02 Server And Gondria and 8:46 Server
I tamed Gondria today on the Thunderhorn server at about 1:48 server time at the spawnpoint that's just south of the Altar of Mam'toth. (Between the aqueduct and where the blue crater starts.) Thus ends a week of on & off searching - I hope others have quicker luck than I did. :)
Also of note, at 11:30 server time, I saw the rare spider, Terror Spinner, get tamed - I've seen debate about whether there's a connection between the two in terms of when Gondria can spawn, and after this, I'll say yes, they do have some kind of timer thing going on. Terror Spinner and Gondria were the first rare spawns I'd seen all week, and they both appeared within a couple of hours, so that seems a little non-coincidental.
I also recommend using NPCScan - that was my first indicator that there was anything there. I was just spending a little time at each spawnpoint and as I approached this one, not really paying attention at the time, the scan went off, and there Gondria was. As for mobs, there were a few Headhunters nearby, but I was able to stay safely away from them. I did the standard trick of standing in my ice trap, pulled him to me, and was able to tame without any distractions. I agree with what others have said above... the taming process has never seemed to take so long before! :)
My own recommendation (and actual point for writing this post besides being so gleeful that I finally have Gondria) is to suggest that you have an Indestructible Potion or some other kind armor-adding alchemy thingymajig. (Just be sure it doesn't have some weird side effect that hinders you from taming...eep!) That way, as either Gondria and/or nearby mobs start attacking you as you tame, you've got some bonus shielding that may give you a few precious extra seconds.
So, there you have it:
1. Use NPCScan.
2. Stand in trap.
3. Use an elixir/potion to boost your defense.

Everyone is going to hate me. I finally got cold flying and got a mount, just so I could search for Gondria. The maps on here are excellent. I used NPC Scan and the comment about her being a yellow dot is true. I was too excited when NPC scan popped up.. and I didn't go thru all the motions that people here talked about how to catch her. I saw her and she was in the middle of 4 or 5 humanoids. I waited for her to move away just far enough and then I landed right next to her, threw down a frost trap. She clawed at me during taming.. then the frost trap kicked in. The humanoid reds didn't even pay attention to me. When she was tamed, I stoned it out of there. NPC scan is THE best tool. I still can't believe I got her. I don't have any way to post a map, but the one that is on here, showing the light blue dot at the Altar of Mam'toth is the exact spot she was at, 4:15 pm, EST, Antonidas server.
I want to thank all of you who gave maps and stuff. The maps for her locations are accurate, at least from my experience.

i spent last 4 days looking for skoll but impossible because of all the gold farmers near were he spawns, so i figuered they prob killed him several times so i gave up, i flew to zul drak checking for gondria wasnt expecting to find her then bam npcscan alerted and there she was flew down set a ice trap taimed her at 11.34am on nagrand oceanic realm i know have in my collection old cliff jumper from hinterlands, terrorspinner from zul drak, humar the pridelord from barrens, and now my much loved gondria :) GL to you all out there happy hunting
just an update on that i just found skoll about 20min ago so found the 2 spirit beast in 2 days now omw to sholozar basin to get the elusive loque anak :P happy hunting people
Found her about a day after I started looking. Personally I like her look about as much as Skoll so I tend to switch back and forth between the two. Spirit Strike may not be that impressive as far as dps goes but in PvP it lights up enemy players like a moonfire beacon for all friendlies in the immediate vicinity to descend upon.
Just got her about 30 minutes ago, I was just logging onto my hunter to check Auctions (I had been logging him out in various spawn locations and checking back and visiting the other locations when I remembered to) and I was flying passed the Temple of Harkoa and NPCScan went off... My heart froze and I started to panic a little.
Dropped to the ground, found a nice place to tame, abandoned my temporary pet, put a frost trap down and stood on it. Hit her with an Arcane shot to prevent people from wanting to kill her, and started taming! She jumped into my frost trap, never had a chance to hit me once before the tame was up!
I was talking to my boyfriend (Yeah I'm a girl who plays WoW) and we came up with a name "Mieliala" I like it. Very pleased now!!

Got her late yesterday. Really lucky considering how long some people have been looking. She was in the area near the altar of Harkoa. I was so tickled, I forgot to get the exact coordinates. Doesn't really matter I suppose since she spawns in different locations. Took me three tries to tame her. I had to deal with the other nearby mobs and getting the use of the frost trap right so I could survive long enough to tame her. I'm going to look for her again tonight for a bit to see if I can locate her again.
Tip: If you have dual-spec, be certain to have Beastmastery selected prior to your attempt. If you forget and happen to finally find Gondria, you will lose valuable time REFILLING YOUR MANA FROM ZERO.
Best spot would be 77,70ish. I hovered over the spot for 2 houts and NPCscan went off. Happy as hell!
Would prefer Gondria over Loque or Skoll anytime. Best of luck to you guys!
I was watching a vid on youtube about ganking tame gondria call her Gondria and then eyes of beast walk her around a ally (or horde if ur ally) you must have pvp on) Soon they will attack your pet thinkinging its the real one and you can gank them haha!
