The Time-Lost Proto-Drake is harder to mount, you'll need to debat him and with his knowledge of history...
Further on you can seduce Archavon or Emalon to give you a Grand Black War Mammoth. If you do it with both, they'll get jealous and you'll end up heartbroken with no mount.
You can obtain a Swift White Hawkstrider, both Alliance and Horde, by becoming exalted with Kael'Thas.
There is one mount, you can only get by fighting, the Winterspring Frostsaber. Slay Rivern Frostwind and become the new Wintersaber-trainer. You can mount every kitty that's there, but the little ones break. Sorry for that Snowball...

I think it's a UI compilation called Arkive (it may or may not be Arkive, but it's got a similar setup).

I've run Kara all of TWO times. It dropped both times, and I won it the 2nd time.
It IS a rare drop. I've run Kara many, many times and never seen it drop once. Or the damned enchant recipe off Moroes. Be grateful. You got VERY lucky.

It is REALLY rare, just you that got lucky :P
as far as the mount it is rare i ran Kara many times in BC and have started runing it again in WOTLK. But the patterns are not rare anymore if you go in with a couple of buddys you can get all the patterns in 2 runs it seems to be 3 per run with there only being 4. I got mine in 3 runs to many chanters in my group but in all the runs resently mongoose always drops off Morose and sunfire off of Shade. Good luck and happy mount farming.

Alright, first of all, this was made to help people understand how the instances work, secound of all, just because you havent been playing since the orginal, doesnt meen your a nub, third of all, you should seriously get some air every once in a while, must be stuffy in your moms basement (these are all directed towards the jk dude)

I agree, but you cannot say its a rare drop after 17 runs...having the mount drop 1/17 is still nearly 6%...and that isnt rare my friend.

That's recounts graphic Dps/Hps/Whateverps graphic meter I believe.
Love that old intance, and great mention on that comment, being of course that it should be adjusted to 80 so we can keep doing it, while still have gear affecting our level be the reward.
I believe that, and remain shocked that they haven't done that. But I also believe that they should up the level for all instances, making it like a list once you click on you avatar picture, as leader, providing a list such as; Heroic, Regular, LVL 70. If need be going all the way down to Lvl 60, such as for, Molten Core, Zul'aman, sunwell, etc. etc., even BRD, and so fourth. I think that would open the game up for a whole lot more, benefit replay value.
Still farming this mount, and tiger mount. I pray that one day I will get it.
Where is kharazan? and is it soloable for the mount run?
