The schematic for Jeeves drops from "skinning" mechanical units in Northrend
After spending an hour or so killing Library Guardians in Storm Peaks, I started engineering skinning them. Got the schematic on the fourth kill afterwards.
Hopefully someone will read this and save some time and headache.
i,m a level 73 just got jeeves plans in off robots in borean tundra by air field in steam pools and that area killed for long long time dont have no idea how many i killed but gained a half level by 1500 points a kill lol almost gave up hope but it is there for low level toons that cant fly in strom peaks
Got it in 35 to 45 minuets in killing Library Guardians in Storm Peaks with my 80 Paly.
However with my lvl 72 1/2 rogue I spent 45 minuets the first day and over a hour the second day then the third day after over 5 hours killing all machines in ponds just about ready to quit and it dropped! I mean realy I was going to kill jjust one or 2 more! WOW Long grind lol but I made over 1000g in drops! And leveled my rogue to 73 and a few bars lol Now I am off to grind the other two schematics you need for jeeves :(
(Don't forget to mine the mechanical mobs after you get the drop)

Jeeves dropped for my engineer from a Library Guardian at Grom'arsh Crash Site in Storm Peaks (37,42) after approx. one hour of farming.

It took me about an hour killing the low-level robots East of Fizzcrank Airstrip. Mine droppped off the 660 Defender bot. The Library Guardians were a bit of a struggle for a 72 Hunter!
Just picked up the schematic from a library Guardians in northern Storm Peaks, as mentioned you must loot first then engineer loot it. I have 430 engineering. Got it after approx. 8 kills. Good luck!

Just wanted to add my two-cents and confirm that I also found the schematic from the Library Guardians in Storm Peaks (my coords aren't on at the moment after patch but the location is just NE of Grom'arsh Crash Site). I set aside a couple of hours figuring it would take me a long time to find it - ending up taking about 30 mins, after about 60-70 kills.
This is a great place to grind the schematic as there are lots of these mobs fairly tightly packed and respawns are fairly quick. I would highly recommend finding a mage to help speed this up so you can pull 10+ mobs at once. Set loot to free-for-all and give the mage a nice tip if you find it. Happy hunting :D!

Sorry for the noobish comment but I can't understand how exactly do you "skin" them?
It's not "skinning" as such, it's deconstructing in search for spare parts
kill the Mob,then there is a cog/pick if you mouse over its corpse,same as elementals for miners :)

I did not have the pre BC bot either when this finally dropped. I DID farm for a couple of hours at least, and finally got it. Although after getting it, I did have to go back to get the 74A bot to even make this.
Got from the Library Guardians in Storm Peaks. Took probably 200 kills. Had not learned other Field Repair bot recipes yet, so they are not pre-req.
I must disagree, since I only learnt the 74A schematics. After I got the drop I had to learn the 110G and Scrapbot Construction Kit schematics in order to create Jeeves.
But, he's a kind lil' feller.
Found off a Library guardian after ~ 200 kills. It's all worth if after you get it. =) Find something else to do while you do it, like I did - level an alternate pet, try a different weapon, sell the Relics of Ulduar... =)
Just so it's known, you can get the schematic with a skill as low as 401, like mine. I got it off the bots in Borean Tundra. I wasn't counting since I was just doing quests there but it was well under a hundred kills.
I did not have both repair bots recipies only 74A.
well the schematic can take a long time to drop just by killing Librarian Guardian Northern Storm Peaks but the best way to get the schematic is to skin Librarian Guardian after killing them got my after the 5th skin.

Got mine in 3 kills. I know I'm an @$$ hole. Library Guards are the way to go.
i got it from flame levi in ulduar 25 the other night by engineering mining him. also got 10 eternla shadow and 1 titansteel bar
I can confirm that you DON'T need any prior scrapbot recipes in order to salvage this recipe.
Pretty funny actually, I was farming the Library Guardians in Storm Peaks and there was a Warrior there farming also, but he wasn't salvaging the bodies (he was in an engineers flying mount) - so I presumed he was farming for Relics of Ulduar, and I'd Salvage the bodies he'd left.
Anyway he ninja'ed one of my kills so I asked what he was looking for here, and he told me the recipe. Being the kind person I am I told him that you had to "skin" the mobs after you loot them with an arclight spanner in order to loot it, he thanked me and we walked our seperate ways. I came across a body he had killed a minute earlier, and salvaged it - lo and behold the recipe was in there :P

Was waiting for our Ulduar raid last night, so i went to kill some of the Library Guardians. "Skinned" a ton of them, but was not really expecting it to drop. I received my summon and was about to click it when one of the Library Guardians attacked me. I killed him and was not about to "skin" him then i thought, "What are the chances?" and lo and behold there was Jeeves :)

I feel dirty....I am alliance and I followed a level 80 horde rogue around when I was level 73, scavenging his kills because I couldn't kill them myself yet..lol. Guess that's why they call it SCAVENGING!
Got the Schematic after about 15 or 20 scavenges.
after spending 2 hrs killing/looting mechanicals around fizzcrank, moved to Stormpeaks, got Jeeves on my 6th kill/loot.

Is there a minimum player level?
My hunter was killing mechanicals near Fizzcrank for about 40 minutes. My 63 pally was salvaging with 450 engineering and no plans yet.
I'm wondering if they made the min level 65 recently same as mining requirement in Northrend.
Was farming pools near airstrip for an hour - no drop,
returned in the eve and received on second killed mob)

You have your answer in your post. There are NO high level mechanical units that don't require level 78+ or above in level.

Just dropped for me at level 70 with 385 in engineering. I had no idea this recipe existed until I came across it by chance. I was killing robots just east of Fizzcrank Airstrip and 'skinning' them for Cobalt Bolts and Volatile Blasting Triggers. I skinned a robot and there it was with a bit of trash. Must be my lucky day!
Just got mine from "skinning" Flame Leviathan 25.
The other engineers were like OMG WTF lol.

i recycled jeeves off of a mechanical in heroic occulus on one toon. i also got one off of Flame Leviathan in 10man Ulduar on another. I think Flam lev. has a set drop but other mobs have a low % so good luck!
Spent about an hour farming, accumulated 37 relics of ulduar.

174 relics of Ulduar, plus probably another 75 or so by another friend who helped me for one night on this (it took me two).
You'll think you're in the wrong place.
You'll wonder if there's something wrong with the game.
You'll wonder if the thing even exists.
You'll fill your bags with broken springs and bolts and cogs.
You'll run out of ammunition.
Keep at it, count your relics, and until you reach 300 of them, don't give up hope.
To get the Jeeves Schematic, go (fly) to Storm Peaks and the "Inventors Library" or similiar (around 37,37). Kill the Library Guardians, loot them and then "Skin" them as Engineer (with your mining pick). Don't be surprised if u need 50-100 tries ... I think i did it in about 70th kills.
But this is not enough. You will then find out that you will need three more schematics for the parts:
1. Field Repair Bot 110G
Go south of Ogri'la (approx. 29,65) in Blade's Edge Mountains in Outland and kill Gan'arg Analyzers. The drop rate is said to be like 0,1%, however I got drop at 6ths try. Maybe some Blizzard compensation for my struggling with the Jeeves Schematic :P
But I guess actual drop rate is much higher than 0,1%
2. Field Repair Bot 74A
The Schematic is on the floor next to Gorem Lord Argelmach in BRD. He is the tiny, covard boss (the last boss before the brew part) that runs ot of the room to get Ragereaver Golems and Weapon Technicians back into the room. NOTE: Don't bother to go here unless you have at least 300 in Engineering skill. Otherwise you will not get the schematic.
3. Scrapbot Construction Kit
This Schematic you will get from the SCRAP-E quest (or actually the following quest, but that is just walking 10 yards) that you get as loot from the Library Guardians (that drops the Jeeves Schematic). You will soon get a quest item, "SCRAP-E Access card", to start a quest at level 77 (I think it was, or maybe even 78 says Thottbot...), which is completed/left to a guy inside the Inventors Library. You will need to bring:
- 5 Overcharged capacitors (so a good idea is to bring them when you go here)
- 4 Handful of cobalt bolts (will drop from the skinning of the Library Guardians)
Good luck! Hopefully it is worth the effort. I spent like 2-3 hours to get them all, including a trip to the AH etc.

jeeves schematic dropped in 2 kills lol. spammed it in general and i got many angry tells about how long people have been farming it.
Been farming up in Storm Peaks for roughly 2 days now....nothing yet. Been getting some good xp, but I hope I'm not stuck up here till I hit 80 >.<
this dropped for me in halls of stone (ulduar) whe i had 445 engineering
Just got it killing Library Guardians and killed Dirkee and Vyragosa while I was at it! Took me probably 30-40 kills and got it in les than 30 minutes. That's killing both rare mobs too.
I found this in Halls of Lightning of one of the engineering "skinnable" constructs.

Got mine in storm peaks killing and mining library guardians on about the 40th one.
It dropped for me salvaging from the bots/mechagnomes in Borean Tundra: specifically the defendo-tanks. I just did all the quests (horde) from Tanuka'le village and it dropped near the end of that. So it isn't just high level places.
