We killed this boss with my guild

My guild has killed Hakkar but not killed Majordomo, so it's doable, we spent about 8hours training on this boss got him to 20% first day, then last day we took him down

Tanks should use, Swiftness potion and Potion of Free action,

Healers should Have Dreamless sleeep potions and maybe Mana potion

It's not about gear, but tactic and Luck!!

not to mention that the mace could also be a warrior mace =)

Way harder than any MC fight.. and probably harder than half the BWL fights (drakes are pretty easy once tanks get their stuff sorted).

Having to constantly move him means healers also have to move, which can lead to a lot of problems especially with his knockback and the tornados that randomly roam the area doing 2k dps..

        He's hard.

as hard as chromagus in BWL, imo
easy if you are paying attention and have figured out what to do, the usual way to down him is very mobile tho, unlike chrommagus, kinda new at him so look elsewhere for a strategy

He is very easy once you know the plan. In the area where he is located there are crystal things on the ground. Basically you have someone riding ahead to find the next crystal and you lead ossirian to it, when he arrives you click the crystal and it debuffs him so that his hits arent as powerful. Just keep leading him to the next crystal while dpsing and dotting him and he will go down after a few minutes. If he hits anyone without the debuff he hits so hard that it will kill some classes in 1 hit.

Also make sure to avoid the tornadoes that blow around his area as they can do a fairly high ammount of damage

/agree. He is not easy but not hard. Gear is not a problem but requires skill and strat. Everyone should always pay attention around them and learn timing to pop up crystals.
You have to kill only 2 bosses on the way to Ossirian. Hakkar requires killing 5 priests. Way faster to farm THE BOSS in the instance.

the cool thing about this fight is it has so little to do with your gear.  once you get the strategy (which may take 15 wipes), its pretty simple.  id say you could do this with greens/blues if you could get this far and everyone knew what they were doing

u get a rogue to mount around and navigate the crystals via pings and watch for tornadoes and mages decurse/dps and get all the other classes to do they're jobs. always let tanks gain threat for the first 2 crystals before u nuke. the rest is pure luck.

My guild just downed him tonight on our 3rd attempt. The 2nd atempt the healers couldnt get Mt because of the LoS of the pillars.

-We started the fight by a rogue on his epic pulling ossiran to the 1rst crystal. The rogue cont. to ride on his mount searching for where a crystal spawned. He would then ping it on the minimap.

-Ossirian is in a 'god'mode, where he hits like a beast
+pulling him to a crystal then opening it  takes him out of 'god' mode for 45 sec, he will become vulnerable to 1 class of magic, his resistance is reduced by 100% and dmg taken increased by 100%

-There will be 2 MTs, they have to be 1rst and 2nd in threat or you will wipe. One Mt will occasionaly become engulfed in a tornado and lose aggro, then thats when the 2nd MT moves in. The MT will bring Ossirian to the next crytal, healers must be on the MTs ass and moving w/ him.

-Move Ossirian before the 45 secs is up and you should be fine.

The best part of AQ 20 is the mobs in his room, most fun eva. Just pay attention and all should be good

Actually, rogues are the best dps-classes in this fight. Our top rogue does 120 k damage in this fight, and the boss only has 490 k. Mages and hunters and locks cant touch rogues, since moving stops them from casting. Rogues can just walk and gank.
Too bad that most guilds are stupid and dont realize this.

for some reason, ignite seems to go crazy on this guy when he is vulnerable to fire.

CoE was on him, i scorched 5 times to debuff him to fire, and then i poped combustion and the talisman of ephemeral power and pst'd a priest for power infusion...

i fireball crit'd for 6200 and ignite hit for 3700 (which wasnt mathematically correct, since ignite is supposed to be 40% total, and only 20% per tick), then i crit'd with my next fireball for 5700, resetting the ignite timer,  and ignite hit for 7200, and i was like WTF???!!!! 7200??!! then ignite hit for the second time for 7200 and ossirian is running at me and i wipe the raid...

i thought maybe that another mage had also crit'd to make ignite stack... but then i remembered i was the only mage in the group. so, has anyone else noticed ignite hitting for a much higher percentage than normal on him? 31,000 damage in 2 fireballs because of a screwed up ignite. i calculated that instead of 40% over 4 seconds, it was doing 120% for some reason.

Maybe you should do a detect magic on him ^^

when someone click on a cristal, he becomes vulnerable to some school magic for the next 30sec, and all damages from this school gain 100%, it seems also that the resistance of ossirian decreases for this magic school.

Your fire spells do double damage to him. On a crit, it does 40% of the crit damage for ignite, as normal. But ignite is fire damage, which is therefore again doubled. Ignite gets 4x the bonus when any mob gains resistance or negative resistance, or damage mitigation or vulnerability.
