Cairne Bloodhoof is in Thunder Bluff and NOT in the Venture Co. Mine. He's in a house at the central hill, as far east you can come on it, at the third level.
Coordinates 60,51.

orgrimmar to thunderbluff FP is about 3:50
Although it may be a 3:50 FP time, TB is NOT very highly populated, and not every player who sees you will say that there are ally in TB, and even if they do, that does not mean that any Horde will come to reinforce the Cairne anyway..
i would totalay reinforce cairne >:U
id prolly get killed though because i am prolly the only person who would reinforce him.... <:(
The bosses are basically identically to players except they have massive amount of HP.
That being said, the bosses have different "true levels"
Here are the list of faction bosses:
Alliance:
Highlord Bolvar, aka I didn't see a giant dragon standing five feet away from me, Fordragon----at stormwind keep
Archbishop, aka I have a basement inviting any horde warlock to summon raid me, Benedictus------at stormwind cathedal
King Magni, aka I need you to kill my son in law, Bronzebeard-----at ironforge highseat
High Tinker, aka no nobody know I exist, Mekkar------at ironforge Tinkertown
Archdruid Faugon, need anger management, Staghelm------at top of Cenarion Conclave at darnassus
Priestess Tyrande, aka husband missing for ten thousand years, Whisperwind---at temple of moon at Darnasus
Lady Jaina, aka I love green (Thrall) more than blond (Arthas), Proudmoore----at top of the Theramore central keep
Horde:
Lady Sylvanas, aka I am the queen of Zerg..er forsaken, Windrunner----at Undercity Royal Chamber
Majordomo, aka I can fly before the beer gut, Varimathas----at Undercity Royal Chamber
Warchief, aka I didn't ninja this platemail, Thrall---at Orgrimmar valley of wisdom
(Don't know his title) Vol`jin, aka I like to stand and chill while alliance raiding Thrall --at orgrimmar valley of wisdom
Highchieftain Cairne, aka I die three times a day at Warcraft III, Bloodhoof---highchieftian's tent at Thunderbuff
That being said, i think the easiest boss to take down will in fact be Archbishop Benedictus. Since there is a basement right beside him which is perfect for horde's summon sneak attack. The archdruid, Tyrande and Jaina are all standing at pretty cramped places, so they are a bit harder.
Sylvanas and varimathas are standing together. Thrall and Vol'jin is standing together. But no raid is really stupid enough to take two bosses on at the same time. They will simply pull one out.
Again, all bosses are acting as players in term of damage, which means they can outlevel you by 10000 level, but you will still be able to hit them.
According to the World of Warcraft Strategy guide, all the bosses are in fact level 63 with exception of Bolvar, Varimathas and Tyrande. (Don't flame me if I remembered wrong.)
varimathas, level 100---probably why no one has tried to mess with him yet. As far as we know, he could have kicked Ragnaros' ass by himself if he tried.
Tyrande Wisperwind, level 75----sigh...poor darnassus, with max population of 5 people at peak hour. Though I did hear quite a few raid wipe from her by the starfall.
Highland Bolvar Fordragon, level 90---if you are alliance come to Stormwind three times a day and watch he kill 7 level 62 Onixya's elite guards by himself and have 80% health left. It has been confirmed by my own eye that he does indeed use divine shield...multiple times in a 10 minute. As far as I know, he is the only boss that will heal himself to full health.
The rest are the bits of information I had with how these bosses fight.
Alliance:
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon----A combination of warrior and paladin, divine shield + cleave + laying of hand? (heal himself to full, but didn't see his mana go down. I want his talent spec!) Summon stormwind guards.
Archbishop benedictus------so far i heard is that he bashes you with his staff and cast holy nova.
King Magni Bronzebeard-----Avatar from Warcraft III. Don't become immune to magic though.
High Tinker Mekkar------no fight heard
Archdruid Faugon Staghelm------been took down a few times, but I don't have any information on him.
Priestess Tyrande Whisperwind---only know she cast starfall sometimes. Summoning darnassus sentienal.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore----Massive AoE at very cramped tower and she will teleport your maintank outside theramore. (Imagining Jaina with a baseball bat and yell "Home Run!") Summoning theramore guard.
Horde:
Lady Sylvanas Windrunner----Shooting arrow with a lot of damage, melee with a sword and teleport around. Summon skeleton guards.
Majordomo Varimathas----no fight recorded
Warchief Thrall---Only saw him fight at distance from the alliance most wanted video. Summon Orgrimar grunts. (He is a platemailed shaman. i don't know whether he cast shocks or not)
Vol`jin-----no fight recorded
Highchieftain Cairne Bloodhoof---Same old Cairne from warcraft III. No rebirth though and the weapon is a giant totem instead of a halberd now.
k, hopefully these information helps.
Varimathras has been killed

so add that to ur speech :)
but really wow he is one tough cookie took 13 min to kill him and half the ppl died
btw. that was most informative, and funny.
Though I do have to say that Kerrigan embraced her role, and Sylvanis is just a whining harlot.
: )
lol
I came here looking for information about the Winter Veil quest, but thanks Arlentus for a very informative and funny post.
42,27 in TB, says SilverLoc.
We tried to kill him with 20-25 people on the day of a new server opening so had little horde intervention. The problem is he spawns about 20 lvl 55 non-elite guards each time you tag him that stun, and he has about 1 million health, a cleave for >2000 on normal hits, a huge knockback, and resets if you pull him too far out of his hut or if he goes to charge someone back on the path behind his building (a safe forming area free of guards).
It would probably take an organized group of 40 people or more to bring him down now.
You turn this quest into High Chieftan Cairne Bloodhoof on the top level of Thunderbluff at (60,51).
the reason why horde have never killed a alliance boss is because there are too many high lvl ppl running around in all their main cities. the only way the alliance could have ever killed one of the horde's bosses is in thunder bluff which is only populated with low lvl guys since there is no zeppelin, easy way of getting there, and no special trainers.
Whille ally attack Cairne some hordes should attack an ally boss. Simple and easy. Or just go TB and kill the ally and get lots of honor :-)
And allies who not have a horde char that reads this is just a sucker.
Save Cairne and all those who shall use him as quest-giver will be happy :)
drink chlorophyll? lol wtf? do u even know what it is? sry just made me laugh
heres some of the lore involving Carine

It is interesting...
In bg I hear from people that are allies that horde always wins. Here I see the majority of people saying that allies kill more bosses.
Is it that allies try to kill more peole out of BG than Horde do?
This is seriously not just being rude. I just wonder.
I say allies kills more horde outside BG than horde kills allies outside BG on dragonmaw. Since TBC those damn 70 allies tries to kill hordes if they meet them. If the horde is 30 they kill him, if the horde is 58 they kill him, if the horde are a group of a lvl 1 and 70 they kill them. So make revenge against allies when they attack TB
Ally used to ALWAYS get ganked by Horde. I guess that when that was happening, the ally decided that whenever they see a Horde they should kill it, out of revenge. I guess that idea is just one of those ideas that never died. :\ Either that or Ally is used to Horde pwning them in BG, so they gank them outside of BG for revenge, and for some nice honor. ^_^
Angry Aces downed him today after a Gruul raid, he has alot of HP, does a Mortal Strike, a thunderclap, and randomly charges people and hits them in the air.
I suggest tanking him his hut to try and minimise guard spawns, and remember, you need to take him fast because word spreads fast about an alliance raid in TB and orgrimmar isn't faraway, at about 10%, there were about 10 L70 horde their but we managed to take him down
Also, having two tanks here is useful, have MT tank cairne at one side of his hut, and the group stand at the opposite end, when he does a random charge, have an OT placed where the healers and ranged are standing to taunt him back to the MT. And the guards are nasty, try aoe them down fast as they do a short stun attack that can make healers lifes a misery
Edit - He dropped 91G for us, didn't look in my log if there was any honor gain or reputation gain

Happy hunting ;)
Cairne Bloodhoof - Cow King
Wtf lol?
Good luck.
What is the point in having a 147 man raid, say bb to your server.
Crash inc =)
man if he actually did get them... wait people who raid are to important for him... either way... they wouldnt fail
lol long time no see eh? lol well i finally membered this post and came back to update you guys (if you care) on what happened on the raid.
we pwned. the repair bill was giant, i payed it of course, then quit real wow and started playing wow. took him out in 49 minuates. had 151 people come on raid, not all were t6, but all were in fact 70.
and thats all i remember!
Before the BC expansion came out, i was playing on my warrior. i saw probably a 40 man raid of 60s come to TB. i left for about 30mins and logged on, their bodies were all around Cairne's feet and when one of them rez'd Cairne just would run after them and kill them (one shot!).
Good job Cairne! Keep them out of TB!
Attacking an Ally leader during an attack on a horde leader is not quite as effective as you think. While it is generally considered true that Alliance sucks at man for man PvP, there are those guilds and individuals in Ally that can stand toe to toe against their Horde counterparts, racials kept in mind and all.
However, that's on equal basis... World PvP is anything but. On any given day, the Alliance hold a population advantage of 3 or more active toons to ever 2 Horde. Many roaming the streets of Stormwind and Ironforge. Horde players have raided Darnassus easily enough due to the lack of popularity of the city as a general place to hang out. Stormwind and Ironforge... most hunters HAVE to turn off their humanoid tracking to get anywhere in those cities. A horde mage can hardly step anywhere in either one without Arcane Exploding a lvl 10 ally into next week... or being picked out by a high end rogue who feels he has nothing better to do.
And so the question you ask yourself is this... to attack SW or IF while an Ally raid is off in TB, Orgrimmar or UC... just how big a difference is that lack of 40 Allies gonna make on the defense capabilities of either IF or SW? The numbers involved in BGs are the stats, but the numbers that factor most in World PvP is population, and that there has the Horde defeated... because many new players consider them "ugly" races or don't have TBC.
Why would Cairne be important for raids? You kill him, and all you get is cheers and claps from your raiding friends.
Some people don't raid to get loot; they get loot to raid further
The milk that Cairne drops is so fresh, it can turn you pregnant!!! So, it might not be 'milk' that he drops, but some white beverage
what is that heavy mettle/rock song? (I think it has something to do with Bloodhoof)please reply so I dont fell crazy :\
Theres an ingame horde band called 'The Tauren Chieftains' or something, I think that's what you're talking about.
QUite frankly i think he really doesn't seem very important in WoW lore...
I got into a raid and killed this beast. Horde care little about TB rather than Org on our sever. When he dies its says HK: Leader, he gives about 100 honor so warlocks can get a soul shard off him. I happened to be the one to loot him and he dropped 62g 18s.
Holy shit that's a lot of money for a drop. Anyway, yes, he does give about 100 honor and warlocks can get soulshards off of him.
