Solo'd him as a level 30 NE Druid no problem. There are two Warlock Patrols, one on each side of Aku'mais lair that have to be cleared, but after that it's a simple moonfire pull to get him back there alone.

He didn't mind control even once, and his sleep spell is quickly broken with his next attack. I ALMOST ran out of mana from all the shifting and healing though, so I'd bring at least 1 mana pot just to be safe. The fight altogether took under 5 minutes, and he dropped the staff first time. Definitely worth it.

I just had the worst run of BFD in my life.
2 noob locks who keep enslaving the satyrs and then letting them loose on the group. They also have the "mage complexity"-they kept spammin RoF so i had to DoT everything and they kept gettin aggro 4 it so they were healed more than the tank cause they dont wait 4 him to engage.
A stupid pala went AFK 2 min b4 kelkris and then 1 lock decided it would be fun to light all the candles at once.we wiped of course.
Its a good thing ive been there b4 and got the staff.Theres an hour of my life gone away.

I went with a group consiting of a lv 23 Tauran warrior, lv 24 hunter, lv 22 palidin, and another lv 20 hunter. I myself was a lv 24 priest. During our way through BFD we kept getting killed at the murloc boss because no one would back up at the first try, except for the warrior. I tried to mind soothe and was succesful except half way through the mobs one of them resisted and pulled them all. Therefore we all died. It sucked, but it was all good when I came back to rez them all. Once we finally reached Kelris, I kept mind soothing all those mobs before him. Priest mind soothe is his best friend in PvE dungeans. I kept going up close to the mobs and mind soothing all the close up mobs, allowing us to pull as little to 1 mob, and if we had to, 3 mobs at a time. Then our 1 lv 20 hunter had to leave, we were so close to. We got to kelris and we did so well. Once we attacked him he kept casting that sleep spell about 5 times during our battle. I was smart enough to stand back and use my dispel magic to get ride of the sleep affect on my group. In the end we were extremely successful in our fight against kelris. He is simple, only if you have the right type of group memebers. I do not think we could have done it without the memebers we had.

Well after kelris our other lv 24 hunter had to leave... so that left just the lv 23 warrior, the lv 22 pally and me to kill aku'mai. We lit the first 2, of course at seperate times, and were able to kill those minions. The turtles gave us some trouble, but we were able to do it in the end. The third candel gave us trouble. Those two elite water elements kept using that massive magic spell on us and killed the warrior in 2 hits. I tried to keep up, but I was to slow. We died quickly the first time, the second time I got hit pretty badly so i had to heal myself at the same time. We died again... but th ethird time we tried, we were able to almsot kill 1 of them, but in the end we all died. We were disappointed, but I totally forgot that kelris was the one who was supose to drop the staff, not aku'mai. Kelris didn't drop the staff, so that to was disapointing. Well I will be heading back there this afternoon for another room.

        I wish everyone good luck!

Almost solod him with a 28 feral.. tanked him in bear my items are nothing special. Pull him to a corner and use the big heal when you get halfway down.. drink a mana potion asap say after your first heal then flip bear etc etc... the only real dps is his 150+ mind blasts tho his mana lasts for probably the entire fight.. also casts sleep then hits you breaking it instantly hur hur.

If you are forming a group, i suggest you to look for a shaman!
They can place a Tremor Totem near the boss when your tank is fighting Kelris.
If someone is put to sleep the Tremor Totem should wake him up pretty soon!

Btw..Shammys are good healers and DPS'ers as well!

Solod on a 28 feral (nothing special). Solod all my other BFD quests en route and thought fuck it lets give it a shot. I would recommend a basic mana potion for the fight I had one off a mob for level 14. I cleared 1 side of the room and moonfire pulled him. I flipped bear and began the battering race, the only real dam (his melee is weak on bear say 30 damage) he does is his mindflay which hits hard for say 160. He sleeps you but wakes you when he hits you lol, I lagged badly for about 10 seconds yet still managed to kill him so I would say he is certainly doable. For heals use healing touch when he has you about halfway. The biggest threat I guess is him sleeping while you heal but he doesn't cast it much so it shouldn't be a problem.
