We killed her on Emerald Dream (EU) after some 10 wipes. She spawned in Duskwood which was both good (no adds) and bad (lowbie griefers who just had to run in with us and become mushrooms...)
Pretty hard mob. Has an awful nondispellable debuff every 25% which drains 100% of everyone's max hp over a 10-second period. Also stacks a vicious dot on the MT (it can climb up to 2700 damage every 3 seconds and it also increases cooldowns on all abilities by 60 seconds). Her melee hits for 800-1200 on tanks (crits up to 2k). There's also an AoE disease which ticks for 800-1000 and spreads to nearby players, clouds of gas which sleep all those unfortunate enough to be in their range and those mushrooms which spawn every time she kills someone (they do 500-800 AoE damage and cannot be destroyed).
Good loot, though. ;)

yeah, she is fckin hard.. need healer like @ vaelstraz in every groupe for aoe heal, anyway more priests then 8 is not bad..
When engaging to 75%,50,25 priests have to be fast with prayer of healing.. druids and shams have to heal mt..

Location: Twilight Grove Duskwood.
After my guild got about 20 people together we made a relativly suicidal attempt at killing it.
I recommend at LEAST 40 level 60s. Your going to need some Paladins who can sheild and /heal themself and a good couple tanks. Anything ranged is also a good choice... and ohh yes... LOTS of healers
If you have lowbies running around get them (if they are a paladin or priest) to rez your fallen comrades. You can pay them a gold or 2 if you like. Otherwise as one of the posters said they are probably going to create a feild of mushrooms -_-.
Oh yea.. dont try and outrun this guy X_x. Trust me, lol it doesnt work. Not even on mounts...
On the + side he doesnt aggro easily. One thing we did do right was space our ranged force out so mushrooms aoe didnt really effect them all at once.
Sample damage : 3039 crit against me. (killed me)
He will typicaly hit : 1900 to 2400 damage.
In contrast my aimed shot was about 400 damage to him, and my auto shot was about 100 -_-. (non crits)

Pfft, I outran her easy... Do uhh, that thing where you can use your pet if your a hunter. Then hide up near the entrance and attack him with the pet... Then put Aspect of the Cheetah on and run like Richard Pryor(RIP) when he caught on fire.
She's a boss. Bosses don't truly have levels.
having fought this boss, ive gotta say... not easy
here are some simple tips i can give to anyone willing to giver her a try:
1. keep her facing away from the raid, she has a very painful poisonous breath attack which she does once every 30 seconds and can shread through an entire raid in seconds.
2. try not to die. if you do, you will get 'mushroomed' and gain a debuff that gives you a chance of falling asleep for 2 minutes while fighting her.
3. make sure you have enough tanks. she splits at 90%, 60% and 30% so you'll need 3 tanks, one to tank each part.
4. kill her as quickly as possible after clearing the guardian dragon. the last thing you want is that repopping and munching its way through your casters
5. give your MT at least 30 seconds to build aggro. if he loses it, you have a problem.
6. take a raid of all 60's, preferably with epic gear
7. win and enjoy your epixx ^^
I was fishing in Feralas (Gurubashi) today when Emeriss popped up right in front of me... needless to say my day of fishing was over. Within an hour there was a main horde guild and a main alli guild getting ready to take turns to try to kill her. In the three hours I stayed dead and watched everything only one group got her down to 15k health before wiping, and she was very much alive when I left. She definately takes a lot of planning to get. And the low lvl mushroom griefers did show up to try to take out the alliance.
Feralas spawn is approximately 51,11 on the south edge of the island in Jademir Lake, up on the little stone steps with the swirly portal looking thingie.

Why would you come on here and make fun of someone like that when you obviously have no idea what you're talking about.
1.) Any one of the 4 epic world dragons can spawn at any one of the 4 spawn points. Look a little harder on THIS SITE and you'll see records of Emeriss spawning at them all.
2.) He could have easily released his spirit and gone back to the scene of the battle and simply chose not to res and sat there in ghost/wisp form to watch the battles.
Think next time before you start flaming someone.

Killed with 18 today morning (Remedy, TN. Gear: t1/t2 epics). It is easy, if you know what to do. Only one died on 50%, probably because got disconnected. But yes, random 40 men raid may wipe on this boss very fast, if ppl don't know tactic. Skill and experience > gear.
Gear: MT must have good NR (>250 unbuffed), shammi and hunter in group for NR buffs. NR gear for melee helps as well, but not necessary.
Sleep: Spread casters to avoid mass sleep. Melee may spread either (check yourself, how far you may stay from dragon body and still hit him). And don't stay near his tail, you'll be kicked out.
Stay alive: Yes, stay alive, don't die in any case. Use potions if necessary, don't wait for heal if there is a chance you may die. If you still prefer to be a mushroom, go away from the raid and die there. Someone may ping minimap to show others where is new mushroom appeared. Everyone should be prepared to move away from mushrooms. If necessary, move Emeriss, just be sure whole raid will not get breath. Check that everyone have ~3-5 [Major Healing Potion] before encounter.
If MT has vicious dot for a long time, be sure you don't overaggro, you may even stop dps at all and wait when debuff will go off. If tank has not enough NR, probably you may use 2 MTs (we are using 1). Desease should be cured asap, person, who got it, should start to move away from other ppl, don't expect it will be cured. NR helps resist desease.

Dont remember who tanked it. One warrior in that raid have TF, but i think MT was another one, with better NR gear.

Mage 1 (5%)
Warrior 4 (21%)
19 in raid, one of them, probably warlock, was offline.
P.S. On our realm some top guilds have agreement and do not attack each other before dragon down.
The guild that I am in consistantly does this dragon with between 15 and 20 people in the raid. Our tanks is geared to the teeth with the best NR plate we can find.
Most of the damage that the tank takes is from those dots stacking to hell and back. With 300 buffed Nr (prolly more but thats not the point) we get a maximum of 2 or very rarely 3 of those dots on him.
From a priest's point of view I thihnk this boss is easier with fewer people (25 is prolly my favorite) because there are less people to heal, and while it takes longer, people tend to focus more in small groups, and there is just all in all fewer people to make those damn mushrooms.
oh yeah, and horde interfearance = the dragon does not die at all.

i was running thru duskwood on my level 25 druid and i decided to take a peek in the twilight grove to see if any of the dragons were popped and saw a horde raid getting ready to go for emeriss. i corpse hopped my way (i'm on a pvp realm) to the nearest spot emeriss came by and waited for him to come close...then i rezed, moonfired, and cat formed (+30% movement speed talent) straight into the crowd of horde. apparently someone got jumpy and attacked him when they saw him running at them. needless to say, they wiped in about 20 seconds :)

Within Duskwood, location 67.31 (around this area) seems to be the best drops of this horde war product.
I have seen the same thing happen on my own server. A group was teasing a lowbie while they were gearing up for Lethon in Twilight Grove. The lowbi decided they had had enough, agroed Lethon and ran for the group, dieing himself but wiping the entire raid in the process.

I have tried the boss twice and succeded once. The last failure was because a lowbie took off at the jerk and that was the first wipe. Then a Horde came in..second wipe. Then ppl tried to get around him (what were they thinking!!) third wipe, fourth wipe and fifth wipe. SOOOOO, the point here is...go with ppl u know, ppl u have ran with or u know their rep. of being good, serious, dedicated players. Preferably have a vent site and preferably do it with your guild.

This is actually the second time i saw him. I saw him once in ashenvale as well.
There are 4 Emerald Dragons,Emeriss, Taerar, Lethon, and Ysondre, that spawn in one of 4 diffent places, Feralas, Ashenvale, Hinterlands, and Duskwood. They are 40-man(or pretty close) level 60 raid. Their spawn timer I am unsure of, I used to think it was weekly, but not always.

Just downed him with 19 people, took a wipe to learn but it was well worth it, got the MT and OT some nice nature gear for Huhu.
Emeriss is still in game.
Apparently she can be in a several places in-game, the Twilight Grove in Duskwood is where I usually see her.
tried with 15 70's in duskwood.
whiped twice, all dif guilds, unprepared, got her to 30%.
good fun tho!
had an intresting run in with Emeriss today..i used eagle eye to see if any of the dragons were there and none showed up so i ran in just for fun and when i got to the temple i turn around and see emeriss running at me, took me down in one hit
Someone had told me a great place to farm mageweave, so I went out looking for it. Apperently, I got the directions wrong and ended up in her/his spawn point in Ferals. I saw the portal behind her and tried to get into, died in two hits the first time(s/he broke through my mana shield in 1 hit EASY) and needless to say at half health the second time, 1 hit, and I figured out the hard way that the portal is eaisly walk-through-able,(It leads to nothing, but the wall on the other side) so I died. Anyway, good luck finding and killing her!!!

2) 4 dragons are emeriss,lethon,taerar and ysondre
3)its 1week (approx) respawning time
4)the 4 places are the 4 stated above but the actual names of the places are:
a) bough shadow(ashenvale)
b) the twilight grove(duskwood)
c) dream bough/jademir lake(feralas)
d) seradane(the hinterlands)

Saw this monster in Hinterlands, in Serdane. In front was Dreamtracker, a 62 elite dragon that I thought I could solo with my 70 warrior... wasn't a good idea.
Any idea if Emeriss just drops 1 of the rare/epic items at a time, or drops multiple, since it takes such a big raiding party to kill? I'm sure it's fun to raid this boss, but just wanting to clarify so I can get some incentive for ~20 people to drag their lazy asses out of OL to Hinterlands :D
with some effort you can 10man all of the emerald dragons, but dont take it took easy cause it was designed for 40man raid pre tbc

There are 4 Dragons of nightmare: Emeriss,Ysondre,Taerar and Lethron and they can be found in Ashenvale,The Hinterlands,Duskwood or Feralas...The portal is for Emerald Dream but that area is not open and maby won't be open.I have been there on private server and it is like some BIG green place with no mobs...Check youtube to see that place.

Has two guards, Lethlas and Dreamroarer.
Took some pics. Couldn't get any closer while stealthed because whatever is around that gate in the Dream Bough kicks you out of it. Wasn't going to fight my way to it because didn't see a point since i wasn't going to fight her.
I need a video(actualized) to know the strategies to defeat him!!!!. Please
