FALSE. This is entirely possible with a smart 40-44 group, as long as the tank is 43+.

FALSE. Immune to polymorph and frost nova, yes. Immune to fire, NO. Just a bit resistant. With my mage, I got about 60-75% successful fire casts on them, and I was 2-3 levels below them (42 mage attacking 44-45 earthen). The casters seemed to have less resistance, as in an entire run, I only remember two of my attacks on those casters being resisted.

"When it comes to the later MOBs (the Earthen + Golems before Archaedes) please be sure to deal with the casters first, then the golem, and finally the remaining Earthen."

Definitely drop the casters first, but I'd suggest hitting the golem last. Just off-tank it to the side while your main tank and dps drop the rest of the earthen. The golem is relatively easy for a 42+ off-tank to hold, and the group takes less damage if the earthen are dealt with quickly.

  I heard that the whole of the instance except the main boss is doable with a 42-45 group, is this correct? Or have some groups been successful with no levels above 45?

    I can vouch for whoever said that because I just took a group between 41 and 44 through ULD, we wiped at the final boss, with 600 HP left. And we could of beat him, but it was so late that we gave up.

    You can complete Uldaman including the final boss Archaedes with a good group at or around level 43. My last time there we had a 44 druid (main healer), 44 pally (backup healer/tank), 43 warrior, 41 rouge and a 45 mage.
    
    The final boss fight is just long, not difficult. Here is the general strategy. Tank is of course on Archaedes along with anyone else not killing the non-elites adds that spawn (our mage did a good job with these). Once Archaedes is down to 25% health or so two elite adds spawn. At that point everyone should go full DPS on him ignoring everything else. At least that works for me...

  Just wanted to say that we had a underleveled group last night
  
  41 warrior
  41 paladin
  42 mage
  43 hunter
  35 priest
  
  we did very well, no wipes except for the boss we got him to 23%. I just thought I would share this, the zone is doable with a lower level group if you have a good team who knows how to play, and my boys did well last night.

        The 35 was a priest. He can still heal them. Obviously not as well as a higher level, but it's still something.
        
        I've been in many groups where a priest was just a safety net. A lot of the time with good pulls, higher levels and time to drink and heal in between battles the priest isn't a major requirement. I've completed many instances after our priest has dropped like this.

        Absolutely right ... a priest can easily do instances three or four levels above in a well-balanced party. If you want to get carried through instances and pick up blues that you're too low to use yet, roll a priest.

  I was able to tank it 41 warrior, but i had really good gear, not full plate though. all of us were below 44. even was able to do last boss with realative ease.

  your the one posting spamming wrong stuff its not a 45-50 or a 40-45, the itance u can get it in lfg at lvl 36 and i tanke din it at lvl 37 we had no saps or polly didnt die once all i an sat 2 u is taht your wrong

  This is a load of shit guys the instance is a 37+ instance not a lvl 40-45-or 45-50. We had a group of 37 druid me TANK, 41 war dps, 39 pala dps, and a lock lvl 41 we did it no WHIPES if u kno how 2 tank like i do all u have 2 do is:
  
  The attck that lowers there attck power u use maul vs 2 targets ifu got GLYPTH OF THE MAUL if not u use teh attck that hits everybody around you and the ocational spell 2 get aggro on healer lock , and sometimes war pala but rarely.
  
  If u got an experienced tank and a healer you cant fail.
  
  And btw the way 2 kill the final boss is nuke him quik coz all the noobie mosb he makes die when u kill the boss. As a tank you got to take aggro off all the mobs, and the rest kil the boss easy win.

ok i lov ulda i lvled there alot but im lvl 60 now and i went to solo it and i got allthe way to the stone ppl b4 the huge boss and i realized i cant summon them so i couldent open the door
