    I sincerely doubt that the portal too Outland is in Dalaran, Dalaran is being rebuilt by alliance mages and the portal you speak of is in the Blasted Lands.

      I've heard roumers that the inside is just a city... an empty city. Dalaran was a city of powerfull mages that used a new powerfull spell to keep the scurge out of the city. It was a great shield that no unliving came trough... If someone came inside, the shield would start draining life... (Like the one in TFT) But I don't know what happened since It's still up....!

        damn these comments were made 3.2 years ago when BC came out only a year and a half ago, how did you guys know about outlands and its portal way before BC came out?

          The portal has always been in the blasted lands. Before BC it was blue and all that happened when you went through is that you appeared behind it. When BC came out it shone green and if you were level 58 or higher and had BC it would send you to the outlands. It's always been there it's just been inactive.
