As lower level I used Swiftness potion and Divine Shield to get by them. Later when I could I worked my rep with them by taking quests. I am now honored and bought a fairly decent item from them. Enchanters and Tailors will benefit the most from what they have. If you aren't high enough I suggest depending on your class you try stealth, free action potion, swiftness potion, or any other means to move through as fast as you can, then if you don't make it you can resurrect and run again. Worse case it takes a couple tries. Once you reach around 45-50 I think you should be able to do quest against Deadwood Timbermaws in Felwood from the Furlbog outside entrance and then Winterspring ones in Winterspring and turn in beads or feathers to the Furlbogs just outside of each entrance.
