Armor owns !!! add in conjunction to it other agi/crit% items and enchant everything you have and you will rock, not to mention it looks soooo bada*s :P the hord version of course :P
Very nice if your using the full set + good fill in items with crit, using a fast bow (hurricaine) very very nice in pvp.
To the previous writer:
It seems you haven't tried to do Aimed Shot during BG if you prefer slow bows for crits.... It takes several seconds to get off an aimed shot, in which time your target has probably either gone out of range or is too close to you, thus your shot and several seconds are wasted. I personally prefer to use multishot and serpent sting, and used aimed shot only when its clear that the target will be stationary for several seconds (rare). BG is a fluid game, constantly changing, and you as a hunter need to constantly adapt to it. In the battlegrounds (AV especially), you are constantly on the move, constantly adjusting position (or should be) and need to be using fast shots so you can fire and move, fire and move the entire time. Frost Trap, concussive shot, scatter shot, multishot, arcane shot, flare, and stings have been my greatest BG allies, and right now I'm either first or second in overall HK, top 10 on kills, and double to triple the kill to death ratios in nearly every game(p.s. I'm not even wearing anywhere near a complete set of tier one gear). The tricks? 1.) Whenever encountering the enemy while moving up, lay a frost trap before firing...its just habit for me now. If I'm getting zerged, I'll back up over the trap and away from the zerger. The following zerger is slowed, this puts distance between us, and there is a chance for my allies to waste him before he can smoke me. A frost trap is cheap insurance for you--an escape route behind you. 2.) Being attacked by a caster? If he is far away, concussive shot...if he is close in, scatter shot. Just interupt his cast, and then hit him with stings and fast shots, MAYBE an aimed shot. And after the damage shot is done, you should almost have another concussive/scatter shot ready to hit him again and repeat the whole process until either you or your allies kill him. 3.)Being attacked by a zerger? Same thing... do whatever it takes to slow him down and get some shots into him. The key words here are SLOW HIM DOWN... slow the enemy down so you/your allies can get some shots into whoever it is coming towards you. 4.) Big group rushing you? You did lay the frost trap, right? Find some cover, and start doing multishot and stings into the crowd while pushing the tab button to change targets.... yes, this will result in less damage per individual target, but more damage overall. Back up or move forward (depending on which way the battle is going) and re-lay frost trap (if possible) and fire off another multishot. Volley? I haven't had too much success with channeled shots, since they get interupted too easily. 5.) Know when its time to retreat, regroup, heal, and refill mana. Suiciding, even during a heated fight, isn't helping you or your group. There is a time to run back and fix yourself, and come back to the fight fresh, rather than running back from the graveyard, which can take a while and leave your group weakened without you. IMHO, BG isnt a game all about YOU and just YOUR damage...its about using your skills to help the GROUP achieve its goals--sometimes it is about doing damage while other times its about doing using your no-damage skills to help the group. When you help the group kill someone, you get credit too, so stop thinking just about YOUR crits, and YOUR kill and start thinking about what you can best do to help the GROUP handle each situation. Yes, sometimes it means forgoing the big aimed shot in favor of laying a freezing trap or doing a concussive shot... not much damage there or chance for a kill... but in the end, it gave your allies time to waste your target, and you got credit for that kill too... so FTW, start thinking about group dynamics in BG and not just about yourself. In summary, bow speed is good...but even better is to learn the most effective way to play your character in BG. And please! Stop worrying about your damned rank and HKs! When you do that and start playing the game instead, your stats go up as a result, your team is that much better, and the Alliance is that much stronger, and you are contributing to the win, even if you might be losing the game. best tactic against spellcasters is this : scater shot then fast rapid fire and aimed shot . u will fire it in 1.60sec then fast multi-shot . it realy rocks . im killing mages in 2 shots with that tactic

i have this set on my hunter atm, and yea over all its a great set. my crit % is at 15% i beleve, and dps at 139.2 (im full beast spec)
total dps for me and pet runs around 300. HOWEVER, i was using the black dragonscale set, and had 145.5 dps with same weapon, and other stuff, though my crit rating was 10%. overall (ranged) dragonscale set is better, and (general use) (pvp) this set offers much more survivability.
HOW much honor and marks does it cost?
