Whatever you do, DO NOT give him an Argent Dawn Valor Token. His quests are ridiculous. Get your Insignia from the other guys around LHC.

I wasted two AD tokens on him, but I can chalk it up to experimentation and hope that I can save someone else the hassle.

He asked me for a Flask of Petrification, the most worthless waste of reagents in game. I figured it was a fluke, so I brought another AD token, and he asks me for 120 dense weightstones. I suppose that's the least ridiculous thing I've been asked for so far, because I could probably buy that crap on AH over the course of three days, for too much money, if no one else had this same quest. He asked my friend for a Flask of Supreme Power once, and another time he asked for 20 Major Healing Potions. At least that's believable that the AD might have some use for that stuff.

If you have completed one of these, and know of a faction reward along with the Insignia, please post . . . Of course, don't forget that you may as well subtract the 25 faction you'd have gotten from the token by itself.

Give him a token and you get one Quest paper and 10 AD reputation

When you complete the quest you get 50 AD reputation (I am presently at revered, so could be more at less reputation lvl) and your choice of one Insignia.

some of the quests I have been given are:

8 Runecloth bags
6 Brightcloth pants
10 Thorium Grenades
10 Major Mana Potions
20 Major Healing potion
2* Imperial Plate chest
** Wicked leather ****

If you would rather craft stuff and get Insignia/Rep then this is actually a good way to go.

If you enjoy farming for hours and hours at a time then by all means go farm :)

  How do you get crafting materials without farming? I suppose if get gold without farming, or you don't consider the cost in gold (i.e. you buy gold), then these quests are "free" of effort from you, you wouldn't have to farm up all this stuff. Or maybe you have 800 runecloth just lying around without fighting stuff.

I had:
- Runecloth bag x 8
- Runecloth Robe x 8
- Gnomish Battle Chicken x 4
- Stonescale Eel x 40

does he just keep giving u a random recipe everytime? or is it just a really long chain? i.e. u complete 15 of these and he gives u a nice quest from nax or something?

as yes, grinding fronds for example is alot easier

done 5 of these myself, all pains in the ass to complete

i can't believe how much of the items he wishes created...and its extremely dificult if say.. you're a blacksmith... like me .. and he asks you to create 8 rune cloth robes.... garbage... avoid this nuisance....

I am a warrior and get a runecloth robe craftsmanship. When I cancel the quest and request it again (it is a disclosed bag each time), it is a runecloth robe contract again! So I believe I will never get any of the numerous other contracts.

So I assume it depends on your class, since there are lots of contracts for sale in the AH. I guess I will hand in the runecloth robes (know a tailor in the guild), and then purchase a craftsmanship for dense weightstones.

  As all craftmans,you need to trade them on AH for that ones u need. So if you are alchemist,sell all engineering/BS and buy major and mana pots quests.
  Same for other proffesions

Is there a certain level of reputation you need to get a writ?!? I went there with a nuetral AD rep and 2 valor tokens. He will not give me a writ. Whats up with that!??!

Yes, there is a reputation requirement to get these quests, you must be at least Friendly with Argent Dawn. I can confirm this because my rogue was unable to get a task from Metz when I first ventured to EPL. After completing a few other quests from EPL and hitting Friendly with AD I was finally able to get these quests. I did *not* level up during this window, so for me it was not based on my level, which was in the mid 50s at the time.

I have scoured every inch of LHC and I can't find Dispatch Commander Metz. I picked up this quest but can't seem to relocate this guy...any help would be greatly appreciated.

I swear to Hakkar that I must have ran circles around this guy and still could not see him! Thanks for the help. I faced the chapel and there he was...just to the left!
