To summon this boss you first must pick up Nat paggle's measuring tape in ZG. There is a fishing spot with some broken bottles etc... there should be a lootable item on the ground.
After delivering the tape to Nat on his small island in Dustwallow Marsh (loc 60, 60) he'll teach you how to summon the boss. The tome is a random drop from it though.

Just done it there easy. First attempt was just me (Holy Priest) and a Tankybear druid (both 70) The 2 of us got him down to 25% before i was sodomized =( Round 2 we done him with a rogue and boomkin...downed easy but no book =(

Pain in the *** to get enough folks together to kill this mob especially since loot only benefits mage. Pain in the *** to get all the fishing quest requirements to kill this mob. Then finally killed fish boss TWO times on two different days and turtle did not drop either time. Only trash loot which we disenchanted. Not surprisingly friends not too crazy to try this again.

First time this dropped, it was rightfully given to the mage that summoned the boss for us during one of our guild's retro raid weekends. After that, I got a bee in my bonnet about wanting to have it for my mage as well.
I painstakingly levelled my hunter's fishing up to the bare minimum of 250, and armed with a stack of fishing lures and three friends from my guild, we began the task of farming for it whenever we were bored and people felt like trekking out to STV. We'd skip everything else by just hopping into the water and swimming to Pagle's Point, killing fish along the way. Took about five tries spread out over a few weeks, and refining the art of pet-tanking the boss, but the book finally dropped last night and my mage is now a happy turtle-maker :) Thanks Orlene, Khani, and Bulli, for all of your help! why aculy use this, me and a bud farm ZG every 3 days for both mounts and this, a 30 min run total(we 5 man it with ease) but ne ways. in the last 2 months we have each gotten 4 of this polymorph.
best part is that they sell anywhere from 2-4k on our realm(weird huh) well i dont cfare all i knoiw is i can farm for mounts and make a possible 4k out of a side boss that aculy right by the tiger boss............. BAM! Too many years wanting this and finally got it and found people willing to... just lie to everyone and say you want to farm for the raptor mount and tiger mount then be like...oh since we are here I have this lure set to go.

Just have someone to hold aggro, someone to heal, and someone to smash his face. He doesn't cast any magic attacks, so mages should Amplify Magic on the whole party. To start quest to summon Gahz'Rilla: - Enter ZG, you can go alone. - Swim around the main temple in the middle (where Hakkar is), to the NW corner: "Pagle's Point" - Loot a chest there to get Nat Pagle's Measuring Tape. - Bring it to Pagle in Theramore, get the follow up and buy the item he now sells. - Go back to ZG, fish 5 of the fish he asks for from the Churning Muddy Waters around where you swam the first time. - Get your group of 3+ 70s together - Go to Pagle's point again, summon him. - Dummy him. - Loot the ToP: Turtman.

um just got this on my warrior and sold it for 2k. It was an easy fight that took 3 min with 3 freinds and me. theres nothing at all hard I just recomend u clear the 5 fish in water and fight the boss there.I am a warrior with mostly blues and few kara peaces and he only hit me for 500. Even our healer wasnt well geared for it but at 70 any healing class will do fine no matter the spec. I recomend u get a small group and farm this guy. this was our first try and I made a great profit for what took me a 3-4 hours of work to get the quest an lv up fishing. now all that has to be done is spend 5 min a week seeing if we get lucky and hopefully everyone that helped will get 1.

For the last 3 days, I have gotten my mages fishing up to 300 and 2 maned ZG (me and holy pally) for the tape and 9 Mudskunks, i would run into a mob of Gators and the pally would heal me as I AoE'd them down, then fished for my prize, the next day, I got a raid together to down the badass "Fish Boss"! he dropped nothing but a polearm and some shit greens :( better luck next time! (I hope)
