Clearly this is something everyone wants, as it is *so* extremely rare.

Even though I myself don't have an epic steed (or any steed for that matter) and people around me have both epic and special epic steeds (though not this one) I'd still insist on a free-for-all roll if it drops.

Just because some classes have a hard time grinding for money or doing PvP (I'm a restoration Druid) and thus are unlikely to get an epic steed any other way, doesn't mean we greedily take a roll at a 1:1000 drop away from other players - we didn't become healers out of selfishness after all.

ok heres the point..hmm I'm level 70 running my lower level friends thru Strat, ok..I already have my epic mount and I worked my draenei tail off to get it thank you very much..if this rare mount happened to drop you better bet your az that I would roll on it, why? because I have the right like everyone else in my group to roll on it, it has nothing to do with greed..luckily I have intelligent friends that understand the concept of all for one and one for all, we went in together and we'll roll together..we're going tonight, and we've been there 3 times in the last week, it cost me 19g for armor repair from the last assault on Strat but it was for my homies so no sweat and no tears, they'd do the same, now just hope this bad boy drops and I get a great roll :P

Getting the Baron mount makes you instantly famous on your server.  That's the big difference.

Agreed, but in the oposite point of view... This is no "Platemail a Priest is needing on", this isn't "Int Plate a Warriors needing on when theirs a Pali in the group", this is however flat out a mount that when it drops that might be the only time any of those players ever see it again, people who are to lazy to learn what the AH is and how to use it should not be given "gifts" of something that doesn't help in combat.

This mount is not a "oh its epic which is better then my level 40 mount", No this mount is like a trophy like for Alliance the Wintersaber Trainers mount is... Only difference is that's a long rep grind but with garrentied results, while this is purely chance and should be able to be gotten by ANYONE wither they have an epic mount already or not...

The healer did just as much works as the tank to help get this, the healer and tank could have never gotten in to him without some good DPS, everyone in there worked hard for the mount and when it drops that 1/1,000 times they farmed strat every person there deserves to roll who doesn't have it. The only case I can see an execption for is if a instancing guild is selling Instance runs to 5th person, in this case the 5th person does not have rights to win it since he is doing minul work compaired to people who know the instance and probably didn't pay a "Trophy fee" before it droped.
