This set has two chest slots (tunic and robe).  As both cannot be worn at the same time, the above Totals are incorrect.  In addition, Blizzard has done a cool thing here by making the set bonus come from wearing three of the pieces (i.e. Boots+Pants+(Robe OR Tunic)) thereby giving the wearer the choice of which to wear but still getting the bonus!

As of 02/17/2007 the +Crit capability when you have the set is not working. I have a complete Chest, leg, boots set and I am not getting the +28 to Crit. Sent in a message to GM. Got a rare "we are aware... working on it" message back. Keep an eye out for a patch update and hold on to other things if the Crit is important to you.

Some of the sets do have set bonuses that are only available to high level tailors, but anybody can wear the actual sets.  :/

    ...This really chafes me.

I was pretty excited when I first noticed this set. The bonus is good and as a shadow priest I enjoy every bit of mana regen I can get. And though I understand it was my choice to roll a squishy fort bot, I never felt it was necessarily synonymous with resigning to wear a dress all the time.

So anyway, my point is, why does the robe outweigh the tunic so? I would be peachy keen to wear this tunic if I knew people would not look at me in full knowledge I sacrificed the stats of the robe to boost my self-impressed masculinity.

Pardon my drivel. Any theories on this?

Probably for the same reason as a female, I like wearing a tunic too.  It shows my elven charms to better advantage.
      ;)
In any case, I enjoyed your post.  Thanks for the laugh!

It's weird that the robe is both BoE and Unique. I can only make one at a time and then mail it off before I make another one.

The tunic is not Unique, though.

    6 x Netherweave cloth = 1 x Bolt of Netherweave

3 x Bolt of Netherweave + 2 Arcane dust = 1 Bolt of Imbued Netherweave

    Leg: 5 bolt of netherweave ||  6 NC x 3 BoN = 18 Netherweave cloth. 18 NC x 5 BoIN = 90 Netherweave cloth + 10 Arcane dust

    Boots: 4 bolt of netherweave || 6 NC x 3 BoN = 18 Netherweave cloth. 18 NC x 4 BOiN = 72 Netherweave cloth + 8 Arcane dust

      For the three pieces :
      • 270 netherweave cloth (13,5 stacks)
      • 30 arcane dust
      • 6 netherweb spider silk
      • 6 knothide leather

On my server the prices are :
      • ~40g
      • ~30g
      • ~36g
      • Between 3g and 6g
Assumed you don't buy everything blindy and wait for good prices of course.

      Total estimated cost = 112g
Pretty nice if you ask me, especially considering how good this set is.

(and the spider silk is easy to farm)

I have got both the Netherweave and Imbued sets and am wondering if it was worth getting the Imbued set on this as a Lock (other than Destro, I have played as full Afli and SL/SL).

Stam and +Spell Dmg seems to be the go with me woth both specs I have used as either don't really rely on +crit bonuses.

Would anyone agree that the Netherweave set is actually more benefitial for the Afli or Demo Lock? Even though it is Green and of lower lvl?

The +int is abviously good for any caster but as a Lock it is not essential, especialy if your Afli with Dark Pact...

Anyone's thoughts would be much apreciated!

      Netherweave Tunic
      141 Armor
      +45 Stamina
Equip: Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to 46.

      Imbued Netherweave Tunic
      155 Armor
      +28 Stamina
Equip: Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to 50.
Equip: Restores 11 mana per 5 sec.

Regarding which one is better, it all depends... you didn't specify where you are going to use them, like in battleground, arena or PVE.  It all depends also on your playstyle and built.

Since I am Affliction, IMHO I would go for the Imbued Neterweave Tunic.  It has a slightly higher spell damage and it restores my mana so I can apply more DOTs.  Therefore killing mobs faster and 2-3 at a time.

Does anybody still use this armor any more? I'm a tailor trying to figure out whether I should craft any. I have a fair amount of imbued netherweave laying around looking for a use. TIA.
