Lack of hit and crit?

It's insane damage for a one-hand, that's for sure, and stats are alright, but isn't that alot of valuable hit / crit lost?

Level 70 caster one handers STILL have 41 dps???

Geez, it's gonna get way harder for an elemental shaman to melee.

  The other caster melee weapons aren't as bad, look at some of the maces and swords for casters. The maces are your best bet as a caster.

    As far as casters go, mages and warlocks can't use maces.

It only takes +3% spellhit to max it out at 99% vs. an equal level PvP opponent. You don't want lots of spellhit.

And crit may not quite suck in TBC, but it's way less useful due to the new Resilence stat. Anyone in half-decent PvP gear is going to have enough Resilience to make your crits "bleh".

What you want is stam, int, and damage.

not that overpowered by BC standards (by lvl 70 standarts) since ppl will have better melee weapons and waaaay more health than at 60 items, this does not sounds OP atall. as a mage this dagger is useless to us, i rather have something with crit on it and sacrifice abit of +spl dmg, great dagger for affliction/demonology warlocks and priests. as they dont really rely crit that much and rely on solid damage.

They get a lot of crit out of talents. Just on my present mix of FH/Nemmy I have a 25% crit chance on shadowbolt.

I think the Gladiator Staff reward is better than the spellblade, even with a really nice offhand. I find this funny, since the HWL/GM Spellblade is MUCH better than the HWL/GM staff.

Prove it. It's not really funny unless you are absolutely sure. Yes the lvl 70 pvp honor tome stinks but there are lots of good off-hands and this dagger offers you the flexibility between PvE and PvP stats.

the way i see it casters (aspecially mages) dont really need recilience for pvp, this attribute should be directed more into PVE than PVP.

honestly as a mage i wont care about this atrribute since melee cant even get close to me

nah hunters need 8+ yards to shoot and they cant run away from a mage, anyway i usually 2-3 shot a hunter in any situation

the Gladiator staff is much better then this....it gives hit and crits + alot of stats

1875 arena points...how much is that in terms of effort/time?

it costs more than 3.000 arena points now, as well as the staff
