Well, many people regard engineering as a novelty profession... which there is some truth to that now. No guild really *needs* bombs or explosives or other stuff like that. Most of the parts, such as thorium widgets, are for special quests like the darmoone faire; and the rifles you make kind of lack.. and they don't have that blacksmith weapon quality to them *cough* arcanite reaper - blackfury - ebonhand - etc.. *cough*

ANYWAYS to my POINT:

I'm guessing these motes are gonna be pretty useful based on the quality of this weapon and the massive amounts of these primals needed - they kind of resemble esences. But anyways, kinda glad in a way about the whole mote thing for engineers, they really needed the upgrade to a useful profession.

can you still use this axe if you choose to respecc?
or does it get unequippable once you lose axesmith?
im thinking of respeccing axesmith to get this axe on my hunter, then respeccing again to something more useful,
so can anyone help me?

As a pvp weapon, this sucks.
Yeah the dps is great but then you see that there is exactly 0 stamina - while the pvp weapons each add 40-50 stamina!
No resilience rating either, which all the pvp weapons add!

Im sorry to say it, but blacksmiths have been screwed over again, blizz did that on purpose (its like this on all the new blackmsithing weapons)!
If you only do pve though, this is a nice item.

  There's supposedly another level to this as there is an obvious in game model that looks like this axe but is grey and has 1 more sopike on it

  This + Axe specced warrior would pwn you so fast the 300 health wouldn't make a difference.

  no, i'm pretty sure that this doesn't suck for pvp. it has better stats than that of crystalforged axe, has plenty of crit and AP. for my enh shaman this would be terrific, because if an enh shaman SS + Earth shock + WF crit, i don't know what, but somethings going to die. it is also slow, which is nice.

I'm a Dragonscale Hunter right now, but looking at this weapon, my BoP epic chain stuff looks worthless!

This weapon is so incredibly insane compared to anything I've ever seen before!

I like how Blizzard is making it so there's more than one root a person can take at their max level if they want to get good gear. Sure, some people might be thinking that instance weapons will destroy any crafted items, but I don't see how that could be possible. This is such a good weapon.

Damn! pretty nice!
